    Pizza and garlic bread to die for at a magical space!

    We went there for dinner twice. The second time was mainly for pizzas. We had found out the first time about the big stone oven. The Kritiki was a delight! Same for the carbonara! The biggest surprise was the garlic bread which is probably the best we’ve ever had! The portions were very big as well! Definitely recommended

    Soulless-place and unfriendly staff

    We travelled here in June from Chania having stayed in the south of Crete before however not at this hotel . We arrived about 2pm and after climbing up lots of steps to reception - as this hotel is set on the side of a hill - with our luggage as no one was about to meet us! Eventually someone came, no greeting and very unfriendly. We checked in and were show to our room - again up several flights of steps as there are no lifts in this place. There was no explanation of the hotel facilities and no information in the room apart from where breakfast was served. It was the most soulless place with no atmosphere at all. Most of the day it appeared deserted with the staff (if there were any at all?) invisible. There was a bar but it never opened and after a couple of days we found a poorly used restaurant described at the Taverna. We were the only British guests the majority being German. Thankfully there were some excellent local Tavernas where we ate and drank. This is a beautiful part of Crete with some great traditional rooms close by.

    We came for a wedding and they cancelled our reservation

    We had called the owners in May to book two rooms, which they cancelled three days before our stay. We were coming for a wedding and we had to find a new place to stay (which in August is hard to find and we are now staying 1.5 hours away from the wedding location). We were supposed to pay at the hotel and we suspect they were able to raise prices due to high demand and decided to cancel our "cheaper" reservation. This shows poor service and very high unreliability!

    Went to Polirozos for 2nd time. Had so much loved in 2015 that it was like "coming home"

    The place is superbe. The two families who manage the hotel together are extremely friendly and the grand-ma's biscuits make you want to stay there for months. Add to all this the lovely beach and the warm weather (even in October) and you are sure you have discovered paradise!

    The sweet escape

    This was by far one of the most incredible parts of my entire trip to Crete. The location was just about perfect, you can walk to the main beach in 8 minutes. The breakfast was good and, again, the care of service was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
