Very cute and clean hotel at the center of the old town of Chania

    rating14 Apr 2026

Very nice hotel at the center of the old town of Chania. Walking distance to everywhere The staff was really nice, and the service was great with a special and tasty welcome treat! The rooms were very clean and new, while very respectful to the Cretan architecture. Definitely a value for money choice. Beware of the stairs which could be a problem if you are travelling with infants or having movement difficulties. The stairs are however a part of the Chania architecture!

    The nicest hotel in Chania

    rating13 Dec 2025

The hotel is one minute walking from the harbour but still in a very quiet area. The rooms are big and confortable with a nice bathroom. The cherry on the top of the cake was the staff, all very friendly. Strongly recommend this hotel. And after being there i discovered that this was an historical building throughout the years.

A charming hotel in a great location

    rating18 Oct 2025

We've recently returned from a lovely ten-day stay in this charming hotel. The location is perfect, just two minutes from the harbour front with its bars and restaurants. The hotel is a quaint, quirky building with a long history, but has been tastefully modernised with modern facilities and excellent bathrooms. There are 10 rooms: one on the first floor, three on the second floor and six on the third floor. Two of these are "maisonettes", one of which was ours (it was all that was available when we booked!). It was basically a small room that's been cleverly adapted by the addition of a staircase and platform for the bed. It was a little dark, but cosy and charming. The bed was super-comfy, and in the living area we had a kettle with tea/coffee supplies. From the bathroom and the bedroom, we had views across rooftops to the harbour.A sumptuous breakfast was served in beautiful, spacious semi-basement room. Coffee was served to our individual taste, and the buffet in included fresh orange juice, cooked items, fruit, yoghurt, fresh cakes and pastries. The staff (all female) were friendly and helpful, treating us as if we were friends who had come to stay in their home. The only negative, for some people, would be the access and the steps. The hotel is in a pedestrianised area with steep steps around it, so you have to walk to and from the nearest taxi point (about 5 minutes). Once inside, there are 63 stairs to the top floor, and no lift, so this hotel is not for those with mobility problems. We are a couple in our 70s and managed just fine; we wouldn't hesitate to come here again if we ever return to Chania.

Ideally Located Old World Charm .

    rating22 Sept 2025

This brilliantly located , atmospheric hotel has only 10 rooms and is located just off the cobbled streets within the Old City walls of Chania. Our room was tasteful & spacious. The only downside was that our teenage daughter found her bed/couch to be uncomfortable & noisy.Breakfast was also very good.Other things to consider: the hotel is only accessible by foot as the Old City is closed to traffic; there is no elevator & the closest parking is about 500m away.If these things aren't a deal breaker for you, you've found a real gem of a hotel from which to explore the delights of Chania.

    Fantastic hotel

    rating10 May 2025

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed in room 8 on the top floor which has the most amazing views of the harbour and the lighthouse. The room was very clean and spacious. The sweets and welcome drinks were a really nice surprise. The hotel is in the middle of the old town, there’s no better location within the whole of Chania. The breakfast’s were varied, plentiful and delicious. The staff are welcoming and friendly. I really didn’t want to leave.
