Great hotel. Terrible food. A beach your pocket and back will remember.

    rating19 Oct 2025

The hotel looks gorgeous — white columns, blue shutters, the whole Greek-island fantasy. Sadly, the dream ends the moment you step into the restaurant you miss instantly miss plane food. Every day it was the same sad buffet crime scene: curry fish (again), greasy mystery sauces, and bacon showing up like an uninvited relative — morning, noon, and night. Spaghetti and potatoes on repeat. Not a Greek dish in sight, unless you count the one time they brought out aubergines — which, frankly, felt like a cry for help. The “Greek salad” made a daily appearance too, looking as tired as I felt by day three. The tomatoes were so lifeless I nearly offered them CPR.Desserts? Always the same. Breakfast? Fine, if you enjoy a sense of déjà vu with your coffee. The staff were nice, bless them, but apparently think they’re running a luxury taxi syndicate: €50 to the airport! Now, about that “private beach.” ? Picture a pile of rocks — and they charge €15 a day to lie on it! No thanks And if you fancy watching TV to forget about dinner, good luck — no satellite, so it’s SpongeBob in German or Polish reality shows.Beautiful hotel. The Beach? Yes if you fancy pay for unwanted chiropractic session. The food ? a not-so-greek tragedy. Good stay in Porto Greco Village

    rating04 Oct 2025

Porto Greco Village was a good and clean hotel with many possibilities and friendly staff. Located on the side of Hersonissos and no noice in our room, maybe also because I think the rooms werre not fully booked. We had the all-inclusive formule: food was very diverted, only bad is that warm food was not really warm, what many times is a problem with all-inclusive formula's. Management Team, Owner at Porto Greco Village Beach Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guests, thank you so much for your positive review! We are always happy to know that your stay with us was enjoyable and welcoming. We hope to greet you again to spend your time great! Best Regards

    Don’t book all inclusive!

    rating20 Sept 2025

Our experience was OK at best. Me and my boyfriend came here on an all inclusive holiday last week (09/2025) The room was 9/10 - it was clean, very spacious as we had a living room, balcony, bathroom and a fairly spacious bedroom. The only issue we had was that the mini fridge and the wine fridge didn’t work, but we just got on with it, and towards the end of our holiday the air con in the bedroom just stopped working? Either way this was fine because the living room one worked fine so we just left the bedroom door open to let it cool the bedroom down, although we would have preferred it had worked. We also had to pay for a safe? I’d expect a safe to just come as a part of the room, but we put all of our important things in a suitcase and locked it the entire time, so we made do. The issue was the all inclusive part - the drinks options were not great. The only options we had to drink were (from memory) your basic soft drinks, a small selection of juices (apple and orange) and the alcohol was mainly vodka and rum, with a couple of cocktails, which was ok for my boyfriend but I’m not a big rum or vodka drinker, so I stuck with apple juice. The food was EXTREMELY hit or miss. Breakfast was good, the lunch and dinner options were bad pretty much every day except the odd day where it would be a good lunch and awful dinner or a bad lunch with a good dinner. We couldn’t fault the desserts though, they were great🫢but this meant we had to go out to eat every day, which we didn’t mind as there are a lot of brilliant places to eat and go for drinks about a 10 minute walk down the road, but it was annoying because why did we pay for all inclusive when we didn’t even take advantage of it? There was not any bottles of water we could get either, unless there was and we wasn’t aware of this, meaning we also had to stop at the shop and buy some. For a four star hotel I’d at least expect some bottles of water? The pool situation was a bit funny? We could never find a sun lounger around the multiple pools, which were also weirdly spaced around the hotel and like I have mentioned we couldn’t find them as we didn’t have a map, because people always left their towels on the sun loungers early in the morning, then left them there till they went back, which is annoying but it is what it is. It was only until about 4 days into our 1 week holiday that we realised there is another pool across the road to the left of the shop which was always quiet, I’m assuming because no one is aware that it’s there. We certainly weren’t because we didn’t get given a map of the site, so if you plan on coming here and can’t find a sun lounger, definitely look there because even late on there was loads free. We also had to pay to get towels from the hotel? Luckily we brought 2 each so we didn’t need to, but we thought this was a little bit odd?The man who was at the rabbit bar down the side of the hotel was amazing! Great chat, extremely funny, always recognised us. As well as the snack bar - the food here was 10/10 and the staff were funny and friendly, although I thought the opening hours of the snack bar is a bit odd, although this might just be me! I’d say that this hotel would be a great hotel to book for a bed and breakfast/room only, but definitely wouldn’t recommend booking inclusive as it just isn’t worth the money. We managed to make it a great stay, but probably wouldn’t come here again unfortunately. I do not recommend it

    rating17 Sept 2025

We booked a “renovated” room for four people, but when we arrived, there was nothing much that looked renovated at all. The wardrobe couldn’t even be opened because the nightstand was in the way, there was mold all along the floor against the wall, and in the bathroom the shower curtain was too short so the entire floor got soaked whenever you took a shower. Two of us went to reception to ask if this really was a renovated room, since we had paid extra for it. The staff told us yes, it was. They said they could move us to another room, but not until three days later. We went back to our room and I called my father (since we were all 19 at the time). After he called the hotel himself, suddenly there was a note after lunch telling us to come to the reception. There they admitted that we were not in a renovated room after all, and that we could look at a different room the next day. Eventually we did get a proper renovated room, which was perfectly fine. What bothered us most was the way the hotel handled this: first insisting it was renovated, then only admitting the truth after my father called. It felt like they didn’t take us seriously because we were young, even though we had every right to the room we paid for without needing a parent to intervene. To make matters worse, after we returned home one of us realized she had forgotten some clothes in the room. She had left them beside her bed, and none of the rest of us had them by mistake, so they had to still be there. We emailed the hotel, even saying we were happy to pay for shipping, but the reply was simply that nothing was found—even after checking lost and found. Strange, isn’t it? How can something lying clearly in the room just “disappear”? Especially since I had already read reviews about items going missing from rooms before, possibly taken by cleaners. Whether that’s what happened here, I can’t say for sure, but it definitely doesn’t give a trustworthy impression.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience Management Team, Owner at Porto Greco Village Beach Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guests, we appreciate your detailed feedback and we would like to inform you with the following:Our guests came and asked if the room they were given was correct based on their reservation. After contacting reception, our team assured that the room was one of the renovated ones and was absolutely correct. We confirmed this to the customers, while informing them that, if they wished, we could check with the reservations department if there was another room available in the same category, with a different layout and decoration. The customers, with a smile and politeness, replied that there was no need, that everything was fine and that they did not wish to see another room. The next day, we received an email and a phone call from their agency regarding a complaint. We informed the agency that the previous day we spoke with the customers and they did not express any complaint; on the contrary, they refused to see an alternative room. Nevertheless, we contacted the guests again to see if everything was okay and how we could serve them. When we asked them if they were satisfied with the room, they assured us that they were. Then, we informed them that their agency had conveyed a complaint to us.The guests, laughing, replied that they themselves did not declare anything, but their father contacted them, while they personally had no problem. We insisted that we show them alternative rooms the next day.The next day, we presented them with two rooms of the same category, one in the "Erofili" building and one in "Tina". The clients chose the room in Tina, expressed their satisfaction and thanked us for the care.Since then, there has been no other issue or complaint.Yesterday, the guests sent us an email stating that they have forgotten some clothes in a plastic bag in the room. After consulting with manager of the cleaning team, we informed me that the maids did not find anything, and we conveyed this to the customer. Guests was abrupt and insisted on checking again, as she was sure that she had left them there. We checked again, but nothing was found. After a few hours, it have been posted a negative review. We take into account all the feedbacks of our guests as this is very important to us for further improvements. We hope to see you again!Best Regards,
