  Humble but very welcoming

  The Selena View apartments are well situated for those who want to be away from the young partying crowd. It is adjacent to the very charming old town with all it's excellent restaurants. Studios all have balconies with views of the mountains and the sea. Our studio was very well equipped with a coffee maker, electric kettle, hot plate and sandwich maker. We only had breakfast and snacks in the room. One could cook a simple meal but there isn't much room for proper cooking. The small pool is just big enough to swim lengths and it catches the evening sun. Please be advised that the shower rooms are very small and are wet rooms (no shower curtain). The accommodation could do with updating but we found it excellent value for money. Apart from the noise of the ubiquitous scooters going by, I slept very well in the comfortable bed. The star of the show is Maria who is a wonderful host. She looked after us so well and her mother gave us lots of home made treats.

  We had very good time at Selena view apartments.The owners are great. Always helps if needed. Rooms are clean with small kitchen. We were really satisfied with the service. Maria your Lemonchela was great 😀

  The accommodation is basic but for the price you pay this is what you expect. The hotel manager was extremely helpful and friendly. We met the owner a few times who always gave a warm welcome and asked if everything was ok. The pool looks small on images but is actually deceptively deep. Its long enough to get a satisfying length out of and the sun sits on the edges all day long so perfect for those looking to tan. The room was nice, a little confusing on the shower front if you've never been to Greece before but nothing you don't overcome quickly. Although it is in Malia, please don't let this put you off. It's basically Old Town, you don't hear any noise from the clubs or bars, its only a short walk to the beach, supermarkets and bus stops. We had a fantastic holiday here and would most definitely not hesitate in booking here again should we return to Crete. Not only this but we had the most amazing Mountain view as well as sea view.

  I recently returned from staying in Selena View Apartments and I admit I was nervous about staying here after reading the previous reviews but I had nothing to worry about. I was traveling with three friends after winning a competition with Walkers crisps for a holiday to Crete. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and upon arriving the receptionist was waiting at the door for us. I am visually impaired and use a cane and he quickly picked up my case and carried it to reception. My friend and I were placed in a ground floor apartment whilst my two other friends were placed on the third floor. I was given the option that if I required a different apartment then we would be placed on the second floor in a couple of days. Rooms were clean and have everything you require. Rooms are regularly cleaned and towels and bedding is also changed often. Free wifi and a friendly atmosphere. I was very happy! Alexander (the receptionist) was very happy to help with any issues about the rooms during your stay. The pool was very clear and for the majority of the time we had the pool to ourselves. The couple who own the apartments were also very nice. Even though they speak very little English, Alexander was always on hand to translate. It is advertised as having a bar at the apartments but unfortunately that is no longer the case but please don't be put off by that because there are a few lovely restaurants/bars within walking distance from the apartments. I highly recommend the Mirage Restaurant and Snack Bar. The beach is about a 15/20 minute walk from the apartment. I highly recommend staying at Selena View apartments.

  Had a fabulous girls holiday staying here only 15 min walk from the strip! Basic small apartments but clean! Friendly staff and great for just wanting somewhere to stay if you plan on going out a lot and doing activities durning the day. Really enjoyed everything about it felt like we had the place to ourselves.
