  feel at home place

  stayed for 2 weeks at star Daratsos this august and was welcomed by a beautiful cretan family who runs the place. very clean and friendly staff . We spent a lot of time in their swimming pool . It is a set of well kept apartments close to two lovely and tasty tavernas at 5 min walk . lovely surrounding of olive trees and quiet space close to the beach but you need a car to get around.

  Its our first time at star daratsos,owner Costa was verry friendly and realy went out of his way to show us around.The apt are big 60 square meters with a comlpete kitchen that felt realu homey!Will definetly visit again and realy recommended ,wont be dissapointed.

  i have stayed many times at star daratsos,,the owners costa and despina are friendly my stay is usually 4 weeks, the apartments are wonderful with a great view of the ocean, pool, parking, and very homelike feeling and quiet, perfect for a vacation! the bus pases in front of the hotel every 15 minutes,there is a supermarket and restaurants near by i would defenetly recommended!

  The first time we went to this hotel Despina gave us a warm welcome and made us feel quite at home. The next day we met the son of her partner and he was very nice to us. He told us he was a dragracer and that he had to race the last weekend of our vacation. He invited my brother to tag along and my brother had the best weekend of his life!! The next year he invited us to eat with his parents-in-law and he showed us a lot of nice places to visit. Last year he picked us up at the airport and showed us the house he was building.. My experience is that he's very helpfull and tries to keep all his guests happy. He works during the day, so there's no time for him to work behind the bar during the day, but he leaves the bar open and asks you to write down whatever you take. If you want a full service during the day.... I recommend a hotel, not an appartement. Surely going back this year!! He promised to show us the most beautifull sunset of the world... at Santorini!!

  i have stayed at this hotel many times in the last seven years but was disappointed with the way it was being managed during my last stayin previous years the manager (and owner) despina ran a most friendly hotel - my children loved to visithowever during our last stay the hotel was being "managed" by despina and the son of her partner. he completely changed the feel of the hotel - it was often full of his friends, he revved his car engine loudly (early in the morning) and was rarely around during the day to sell food, icecream or drinkswe felt like intruders - not welcomed by the son and we rarely saw despina - she had always had a high profile in years gone bya shame to see a lovely holiday spot go down hillwe may go back to see how it is but if it is like last time the stay will be shortps our stays have always been for between five and six weeks (so it has to be right)
