  A lovely family run apartments ☺️

  Had the pleasure of a 1 week stay at Stelios Apartments. Located in the old town you are literally yards away from great restaurants and bars, all full of character! But some of the best characters can be found in Stelios Apartments themselves….George and Lida completely made our stay.Our flight in was late and slightly delayed but we were greeted with the warmest and most informative welcome by Lida, she talked us through all the local amenities, beaches and restaurants, but also where to withdraw cash without extra funds. This was all printed out and became our guide for the week (very handy!).We stayed in the family room which was traditional in style, had a lovely big balcony and it was presented to us in a perfectly clean state.The pool was large and the pool bar severed a varied selection of drinks and food (which we happily ate most days). Stellios Apartments is a really lovely family run place. While having your coffee on the balcony you can sometimes spot their lovely Mama doing gardening. We are already missing sitting by the bar talking to George and his contagious laugh and catching up with Lida and their mum in the evenings. We will definitely be coming back! :)

  Situated in Old Malia, minutes from many restaurants, small supermarkets on every corner, spent 9 nights as a solo traveller, always felt very safe, wished I’d spent more time with George and Leedar and her lovely mum, very hospitable hosts, friendly too. Decent size swimming pool for the amount of apartments, Had apartment 13, with air con, a great view of the mountains and sun on the balcony all afternoon and evening, Although a basic apartment, I found the bed very comfortable, lovely white fluffy towels and good quality bed linen, decent size fridge, kettle, toaster, enough facilities for cooking a simple meal, but hey who wants to eat in when there are so many fabulous restaurants nearby. Get to know the family, lovely people, they work extremely hard, a pleasure to stay here and I will return. Oh and George if you plan on visiting England I can host you 😁

  A family business who look after you as if you’re their own! The Apartments had everything you needed - small kitchenette/bathroom/beds/small balcony! Clean & friendly… quiet enough for a pure chill-time., Situated within Old Malia (which is beautiful! Full of charm) a 5min walk to the strip for the party people & a further 10min stroll through to the beach. So you can mix n match. I was a solo traveller who was then accompanied by my 23yr old daughter (ideas of a holiday are opposite- so this was ideal!)Local bus service was a great bonus - to airport/agios Nikolaos/Heraklion etc)Wandering around to find the apartment was always a delight - every little church becomes your Navigation point (as opposed to a pub) & tavernas within Old Malia are simply ‘a must’

  by far the most frienldliest staff i have ever come across. George everything you did for us was amazing. Thank you from rhodri and his mates.I would definetely stay here again we will be coming back soon. the location is great, close enough to the strip

  The worst hotel I have ever stayed in sheets didn’t get cleaned all week - shower facilities were bottom of the barrel and the people skills on the owners were minimal at best - wouldn’t recommend. From the moment of arrival George (the owner) had a grudge against us and shouted at any opportunity. George ran into the room unannounced while one of our group was undressed. When we were leaving George tried to start a fight and kicked us out the facilities.
