  It’s a sweet small hotel run by Stella and her family! Service is great, the food (all home made by Stella herself is fantastic. There are some stairs but no elevator. The pool is as the picture promisses….fantastic with a breathtaking view! It’s 5min away from the fishersvillage Panormo with lots or great restaurants to choose from. If there is 1 thing i would recommend to change is to keep the bar open in the afternoon. Other than that a big thank you to Stella and all who made our stay fantastic!

  What a fabulous find. A lovely friendly family run hotel, nothing is too much trouble. We booked a basic room which was lovely and clean for myself and my daughter. We were very happy with it but then we had trouble with the shower and toilet. The staff resolved it immediately with no fuss and an apology. We were upgraded to a higher standard room. This was fabulous. The fact that there was no fuss and they were very apologetic made the matter easy to resolveApart from that it is very very quiet. Pool area spotless and stunning . Small menu choice for lunch but all the same delicious It is approx 20 min walk into Panormos itself. If it was too hot we took a taxi €8Is approximately 40 mins to Rethymno again we took a taxi €30 each way. If you do not know Panormos then you may feel that you are in the middle of nowhere but 15 mins from your doorstep you have the beautiful fishing village with many shops bars and restaurants. Not much of a beach at the hotel but again there are a couple down in the villageOverall a fantastic find for us excellent value for money- basic but that is what we wantedThank you Stella Beach we hope to see you againHelene Thornton

  Very basic hotel. No mattress protection, pillow with stains, bed broken, towels with stains. Breakfast buffet but dinner was not a buffet. It was like a lottery- sometimes food was cold and old. The dishes are washed by hand as there is no dishwasher, the glasses smell . The same lady washes and cleans the rooms, and the same lady works in the.kitchen. She watches your every move. The owner Stella was unapologetic and gets very angry. No soap or anything to wash hands in the room. The hotel needs urgent hygiene inspection Styliani Vasilakaki, Ιδιοκτήτης at Stella Beach Hotel, responded to this review Dear mrs Liukineviciene,we are truly sorry that you made a bad experience while staying with us, nevertheless we feel obliged to answer to some points of your review, which we find completely inaccurate and far fetched from the reality!Already from the second day after your arrival, which was on the 14.09, you came to us in a very impolite way, telling us that a three star hotel should afford its guests protection for the mattresses and as i clearly explained to you that our hypoallergenic mattresses are twice a year cleaned with steam by a special cleaning service, and in order to ''balance'' your not happy staying in your room, i kindly offered you an upgrade to a new renovated room, which you refused...And i ask myself...who would drink anything from a dirty glass my dear?who would eat old food even if someone so immoral or unthinkable would offer him or her such a food?you described me as unapologetic....but i have not reacted angry even when i came to your table to take your order and your husband commented something in your language, which i don't speak and i don't know, and apparently something not so polite...the lady who is cleaning the rooms and in the afternoon is working in our kitchen is doing a very good work here and is giving the 100% of her stamina, as we all do here....and to conclude as you said that you travel a lot, we wish you a much better next holiday to the place that will accomodate you.thank you for this review....Styliani Vasilakaki

  Stella is one of the most incredible hosts you will ever have! She cares about her guests as if they’re family, ensures that your experience is outstanding with her kind and caring hospitality. She offers GREAT typical meals.The hotel offers parking, an amazing swimming pool and fantastic outdoor facilities in general with a breathtaking view of the beach. As a bonus you’ll enjoy one of the best sunsets ever!

  Lovely hotel perfect for couples and a relaxing holiday

  The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The hotel has many well air conditioned and clean rooms (cleaned daily to a very good standard) with a beautiful sea view and a fantastic pool that also overlooks the sea! We really enjoyed the traditional greek food, cooked by the owner (Stella) herself. Located in a very cute Cretan village with many restaurants bars and beaches- just a bus ride away from the centre of Rethymno. We will be coming back!
