    The Thalassa Beach Resort is a wonderful family run hotel. The second generation owners and operations manager can often be seen wandering around, speaking to staff and interacting with guests. The staff are friendly and many have worked at the hotel for many years. The clean spacious reception, airy restaurant and outside pool, bar and lounge areas are kept immaculately clean. Chef Christos is passionate about food, creating his own signature dishes and happy to discuss any recipe with you. You may even participate in cooking workshops creating traditional Cretan recipes. We particularly enjoyed the more relaxed pace of the delicious a lá carte menu. The gym is sufficiently stocked for a reasonable holiday workout. If you are after a holiday, literally on the beach, in a clean friendly welcoming setting, you would be wise to consider the Thalassa Beach Resort

    Lovely hotel on the beach,lots of taverna and shops close by, along with bus stop to Chania.Hotel is spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast with everything you could wish for.Lacking in regular evening entertainment.Pieces of melon handed out to sun bathers arounf 12 noon a nice touch. Unfortunately we were in room 115 which doesn't get any sun but also is under the dining terrace and very noisy from 7.30 ish every morning.If we went again would request to be away from that area.     Fabulous stay at this lovely hotel

    Spent 10 nights at this lovely hotel. It is in a perfect location in the middle of Agia Marina surrounded by shops and tavernas. We were B&B so sampled some lovely restaurants our favourite being the Rustic Garden. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff very attentive especially the reception staff. our room was spacious and comfortable with a large comfy bed, nice bathroom and spacious balcony. sun loungers were plentiful around the pool and on the beach .     Fantastic hotel, immaculate throughout..Great location on the beach and within walking distance to shops, bars, and numerous restaurants. We upgraded to a sea view duplex room with magnificent views.There are so many family run tavernas hidden away up back streets with great local food and a lovely atmosphere.Local buses to Chania run every 20 mins and take about 30 mins. Only 2 euros.     This was the second time we've stayed at the Thalassa and we were so pleased we did . Fantastic hotel , lovely staff , great room and a good size balcony with a pull out clothes drier. We used the spa and had a very relaxing experience , recommend it . The pool bar made excellent cocktails and Manos's cocktails are far the best !
