This comfortable and friendly hotel is conveniently located at the crossroads of the southern coast, between Chania and Heraklion. This prestigious resort with a firmly established reputation is also close to the old town and a long sandy beach.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 245 rooms, including 6 suites, 2 single rooms and 213 double rooms, located in a 4-storey main building and a 4-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Guests receive a welcome drink upon arrival. Amenities at the hotel include a baggage storage service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Further services include a car hire service, a transfer service and a hotel doctor. Travellers with bicycles can make use of the on-site bicycle storage area for no extra charge.     This is a beautiful hotel. We came as a family of 4- 2 adults, 14 year old and 11 year old. The family room was perfect- really well thought through, with separate areas for kids and adults to sleep. Hair dryer, shaver socket and a fridge in the room. Great double shower, bedroom was clean and airy, and beds were made everyday which was lovely. Beach towels provided too- what a bonus! Location is great- a short walk into the picturesque town, where we had a lovely mooch through the cobbled streets and ate some delicious food. The pool at the hotel was lovely- always managed to get a lounger and no one reserving them at stupid hours in the morning. There is also a second and third pool in the sister building- one indoor and one outdoor, plus a gym for those who like it. They also have a spa- I did have a massage and it was very good and the spa staff were all lovely. We were bed and breakfast- the food was a 10/10- delicious and with a good variety. Would heartily recommended this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Rethymno!!!

    Amazing experience! The reception staff greet you with the warmest welcome on arrival from Ioanna and her team. The rooms are clean and made up whenever you want. The chef George makes the most delicious meals and the restaurant staff are incredible. Special thanks to Angeliki, Thanos, Vasiliki, Eleni, Maria Ivanidou, Vaso Klonatidou, Giorgos Shandalahis, Ioanna Giakeiui, Kirollos, Stratos, Konstantinos and ALL the restaurant team. We miss you so much! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The owners have found an incredible team of people to look after us. Coming back, hopefully October.

    We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The food was absolutely excellent, with every meal fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. What really stood out, though, was the kindness and warmth of the staff — not just toward the guests, but also toward the cats around the property. It was lovely to see how well they were cared for and treated with such compassion. That small detail said a lot about the people here. We felt genuinely welcomed throughout our stay can’t wait to go back. Marie and Anna appeared to be the hotel cats, staff told us they have been there some years. They both love a little fuss and to share your sunbed with some fresh water . Please look out for them 😺The hotel is spotless and so well maintained. The staff really do work so hard and nothing is to much trouble.

    A truly fantastic stay at Theartemis Palace Hotel in beautiful Rethymnon.This hotel absolutely deserves special recognition for the incredible team who made our holiday so memorable. A huge thank you to Eleni in Guest Relations who was simply amazing throughout our stay — professional, friendly and always happy to help with anything we needed.The breakfast staff worked incredibly hard every single morning and always did so with a smile, creating such a welcoming atmosphere to start the day. Special thanks also to Jessica in the bar who was fantastic throughout our stay and helped make the evenings so enjoyable with her friendly service and warm personality.A big thank you as well to Leonidas and Nancy on reception who were both exceptional — always welcoming, professional and incredibly helpful whenever we needed assistance or advice. And of course, special mention to Lefteris the concierge whose local knowledge, friendliness and attention to detail really added something special to the whole experience.The entire team genuinely made us feel valued as guests and all played a huge part in making this such a wonderful holiday.Our room was excellent with both pool and sea views, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect — literally two minutes from the beach and within easy walking distance of the beautiful old town and harbour area of Rethymnon.The facilities throughout the hotel were outstanding. The grounds were immaculate at all times, the main pools were excellent and the additional pool area in the other block was a fantastic extra space to relax. The indoor pool and fitness room were also a great addition and showed the quality of the hotel overall.Honestly, this hotel should be rated as a five-star property based on the service, facilities and overall guest experience.Thank you once again to everyone at Theartemis Palace Hotel for such an unforgettable stay in Crete.
