    We loved this hotel

    rating01 May 2026

We moved here for 2 nights after a mixed experience at the Ramada. The minute we walked in we knew that we'd made the right decision! Ceren at the front desk is really welcoming and always ready to help. All the staff were friendly and approachable, the lovely Kagan took our luggage to our room with sea views, and was very informative about the room and hotel facilities. The location is ideal, sweeping views, shops and bars 5 minutes walk, and regular dolmus services into Kusadasi for 30 lira. The food was excellent, hot and varied with attentive waiting staff.Everything was spotlessly clean, the rooms are a little dated but that didn't bother us as the beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. The entertainment staff, Mario and Lotfi, were very friendly and not too persuasive. ALL the staff were very helpful, polite and efficient. We loved the small beach with it's comfortable sun loungers. Please ignore the bad reviews, the hotel does need a bit of modernisation but it's clean, friendly and the food is lovely. Excellent value for money. I cannot remember all the staff's names, but noone was rude or unhelpful, they all deserve praise! Thankyou Grand Blue Sky staff for making our time with you so comfortable and enjoyable.

Horrific, dirty, rude management, 1 star maximum, cockroaches, inedible food, shocking service.

***Pre-warning, I promise I'm not a Karen but this is diabolical, do not waste your money***I'm not quite sure what sort of squaller the other reviewers must live in to remotely describe this place as "clean". I have never ever ever been to a hotel and asked to change rooms (I was cabin crew so I am more than well travelled) and quite frankly, I'm even happy at a Butlins or Haven but this was quite honestly the dirtiest hotel I've ever stepped foot in. The photos look like were taken at least 20 years ago or FaceTuned because everything is dirty, stained, broken or needs repainting. When we arrived we had to move rooms 3 times, there were balls of human hair in one, dirty bedding left over from previous guests in another and dirt everywhere.I could have cried, especially when I'd been describing the "Turkish service" to people before I came and saying how last time it was the most outstanding service and hotel ever in Antalya. Quite honestly I'm sure a 2 star in Aiya napa or Tenerife would have surpassed this. The food is something I will struggle to even discuss, made me sick for days and spent half the holiday sleeping all day, all the food is served COLD, people were literally in full Usain Bolt sprint to get anything that was even remotely edible. It was mostly cold chips, rock hard bread and uncooked meat I wouldn't even feed my cats. Even to get the inedible food you were expected to stand in a que for 30 minutes, felt like we were waiting for a homeless food bank. The only decent thing going for the hotel is the entertainment team, they at least help you make an escape out the building for a few hours in the evening, if you go to a local club.I also have to mention the worlds rudest man who works in the pool bar, I'm honestly not sure if he applied for a job in a hotel not understanding you'd have to see other humans but his inability to comprehend manners was diabolical. He was making burgers and piling them into a big tin when cooked, then giving you stone cold ones when you asked for some. My friend asked for some hot onion rings and you would have thought she'd asked for an organ with his response, eyes rolled up, big sigh and even a tut. If I hadn't been staying another week I'd have probably turned him into a burger.During the holiday the room was either not cleaned or cleaned to a standard of a 8 year old that's doing a 10 minute job for pocket money. The floor, after being cleaned, was still black with dirt and I ended up using my own makeup wipes to clean some of the areas because I was that repulsed.I'm also fully aware that being abroad you get bugs and etc but on a day that there was rain we ended up with hundreds of flying ants and a few cockroaches on our balcony, bear in mind we were on the 6th floor it wasn't something I expected. I did nearly had a heart attack because I've never seen one in any of the hotels I've visited before, anywhere in the world but then again I do appreciate being abroad comes with different insects.I feel so sorry for the young staff in the hotel, feels like the management are non existent, my friend and I were threatened by another guest, when I told a manager in the restaurant he told me that "it's just the way". I feel like everyone else's concerns were also batted off leaving the young staff to take the brunt of the issues.I honestly wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, PLEASE do not waste your money, the hotel is horrible, dirty and needs a fortune spent on it to make it anything close to a 4 star. Havibg read the previous reviews of the hotel i was very apprehensive about our stay, the reviews in my opinion are not representative of the hotel at all.Location is 10/10, with sunset and overlooking the water. Amenities are very good as are the staff. Room are good, no issue at all and lots of space. Good is tasty albeit it can be repetitive if staying for a week. Beach has a bar and is private and only a short walk away. I have no complaints and would return to this hotel. The Grand Blue Sky, Marketing at The Grand Blue Sky International, responded to this review Dear Aoife L,Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your honest experience with us. We are thrilled to hear that we were able to turn your apprehension into a 10/10 stay!It is wonderful to know that you enjoyed our prime location, the stunning sunsets, and the service provided by our dedicated staff. We also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the food variety; we are always looking for ways to keep our buffet exciting for our long-term guests.Knowing that you found our rooms spacious and our private beach convenient is very rewarding for our team. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back this season for another wonderful stay overlooking the Ege.Until we meet again, we wish you all the best!Warm regards,Grand Blue Sky International HotelGuest Relations Team

    More Like a 3-Star

    rating22 Oct 2025

I have to write here, even though I usually don’t. I’m giving the hotel 1*, to reflect the real situation. If you think you’re coming to a 4* hotel, you’re wrong. I would call it a weak 3*.The first shock comes in the room, the photos look much cleaner and newer – we said okay, we got lured by a nice picture. But then came the cleanliness of the room, something disgusting. The floor by the bed was dirty, the furniture old, the air conditioning 20 years old – we said okay, but the cleanliness in the bathroom was terrible. We went to the reception, where they offered us a room change (which looked the same) or cleaning. We showed the cleaning lady, who doesn’t speak a word of English, that we mainly wanted the bathroom cleaned – the faucet extremely filthy, the glass by the bathtub dirty, generally all stainless steel materials uncleaned. The cleaning lady was smiling, I don’t know what she said, but she looked like she was saying, that it can’t be any cleaner. After returning to the room, everything looked the same, dirty.During our stay, we always caught the moment when she wanted to clean, whether we were out for one hour or four. Even when she had been there, the floor wasn’t washed. The food in the resort I rated as okay for the first 3 days, but then everything tastes the same. The drinks as well – they have maybe 4 types of alcohol and 5 syrups. They’re extremely sweet, but we asked for less. The staff is mostly nice, others don’t listen to you at all or don’t speak English. The rest of the alcohol in the evening is either paid or just for decoration. We were there later in the season, but the water in the pools was terribly cold, even in the small kids’ one.By the water with fountains that don’t work, it smells quite bad. There wasn’t a single ice cream in the whole resort.Otherwise okay, just you really need to take it more as a 3* motel, not a 4* hotel. The Grand Blue Sky, Marketing at The Grand Blue Sky International, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet the 4-star standards we aim to provide, particularly regarding the cleanliness and the condition of your room.We have taken your comments about the bathroom and housekeeping very seriously. Please be assured that we have revised our cleaning protocols and conducted necessary maintenance to ensure our rooms reflect the quality shown in our photos. We also want to share some exciting updates for this season! We have introduced a dedicated ice cream area within the resort, which we know was a missing piece during your last visit. Furthermore, we have upgraded our beverage selection and are working closely with our staff on language and service training to provide a truly high-end experience.Regarding the pool temperatures and the ambiance of the fountain areas, these points have been noted by our technical team for immediate improvement. We would value the chance to welcome you back this year to show you the significant steps we’ve taken to provide the superior service our guests deserve. We are confident that your next stay will be a true 5-star experience.Best regards,Grand Blue Sky International HotelGuest Relation Team
