  Please avoid this 2.5* hotel pretending to be 4*

  I have been to italy many many times but frankly this is not how a 4* hotel should look like. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, thats why i give 1*. What was not ok:- horrible horrible mosquitoes infestation everywhere - reception area, rooms, dinning room area. There is no escape, I got bitten over 25 times, the whole group was.- room are spacious but very very outdated, it honestly doesn't look like a 4* hotel room. For comparison Double Tree by Hilton is also a 4* hotel.- there was a beach nearby but the hotel didnt have chairs and umbrellas so we had to pay €35 per day to use 2 chairs and 1 umbrella.- The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, there is one small supermarket to buy groceries and nothing else, not even a restaurant. The nearby village is around 1h 15 min walk away and you got to walk on the road.- The breakfast was repetitive - always the same 3 types of salami, 1 cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. - Dinner was always 2 types of pasta, 1 type of fish and 1 type of meat with some veggies. Again most 4 * hotels have buffet type dinner.- There was no lunch, you cant even pay for it because they dont make lunch there.- Wifi only in the common areas and only in the rooms close to the reception.- Pool was always closed between 1 and 3 and on Friday it was always closed for maintenance.Please avoid at all costs, not worth the money and definitely not how a 4* hotel should look like.

  If you appreciate a really beautiful pool (2.5m deep) then check before you go! We spent a fortnight at this hotel and the pool was shut for half the days we were there. Sometimes because there was no lifeguard ,sometimes 'maintenance issues' . The lift in the hotel didn't work for the entire time we were there. Many of the things they promise are not delivered - there is no entertainment programme and the local parade of shops/ restaurants spa etc. are all closed down. If you aren't eating at the hotel you need a hire car. There are NO local restaurants or bars (except one excellent day time beach bar) .As all the reviews say this hotel is tired and badly in need of investment and smartening up.On the plus side it was quiet and comfortable and the sheets and towels were changed daily. the buffet breakfast was generous and comprehensive.They just need to pull their socks up , invest in updating the facilities , and to remember that people only have a one or two week holiday - so saying that the pool or lift may be repaired ' in a few days; is not fair or good enough.

  Honestly do not bother, hotel rooms are not what the picture shows, the pool is full of green alge, kids are swimming in it, but being told by pool staff to wear a swim cap to stop germs! Absolute health hazard! States there is a play ground, entertainment for both children and adults. Definitely not the case. They don’t even have staff to open the bar! Do not book this holiday the wile pictures and description is false advertisement, save your money and find somewhere better.

  2/3 star at best and love holidays couldnt give a monkeys.We arrived to nice staff however that's the only nice thing here. We were told you can't use the pool as it is out of season. No reports on love holidays site of there being a season or any restrictions, as on their website everything looks open and accessible. Love holidays advertised the hotel as having a Spa (which was why we chose this hotel) and there isnt one and never was! Love holidays advertised the hotel as having a well equipped Gym and there isnt one and never was!Love holidays advertised the hotel as having a sauna and guess what, exactly no sauna. The reception staff even commented that they dont advertise these facilities and to check booking.com, we did and they are correct!The rooms are very dated and dirty.The comfy bed turned out to be a pulled out sofa bed.The roof of the reception area was falling apart as seen from our balcony.The supermarket was closed and the nearest shops are a minimum 45 minuite walk away, not the love holidays advertised 15 minuite stroll! Love holidays also advertise that there is a full entertainment package for children and adults, guess what that's right no entertainment period! When we asked reception if we could buy a bottle of wine to take up to our room their answer was no but you could buy a glass of wine at the bar.You can feel very trapped and isolated here if your not in the best of health!There is a beautiful beach near by though! We were so appalled by what we had been sold compared to what we had recieved that we jumped in a taxi and got a different hotel with all facilities we wanted within the same area for the same price. (AHR BAJA).Love holidays are not interested and only offer a 25% hotel cost refund totaling £96. Bear in mind people this 3 night stay cost me just shy of £1000I'm very disappointed as we have used love holidays on many occasions, but this will be the last time!

  Loved it.... Eventually...read below. :-)

  So... lets start with "eventually".. We drove the 3.5 hours from Cagliari airport to the hotel and yes it is a trek! When we eventually arrived we couldn't find reception because there are NO SIGNS big enough to show you where exactly it is! When we did , reception were delightful and empathised with our plight. The apartment (because that's what they are) are big and comfortable with all the necessary equipment to enjoy a self catering holiday. With the exception of a kettle.. there's no kettle but there was a pot to boil..oh and no micro wave either!! However...there is a small supermarket in the complex with FRESH pasta every day.....absolutely superb. Our sunrises every morning were exceptional we had room 211!! We went B&B and if you time it correctly all the food will be fresh. Its a decent breakfast with choices for everybody. BIG plus is the swimming pool and the Staff. Genuinely nice lad who looked after everybody that came poolside. The ONLY downside was the music and the level it was at.. if you want to attract adults to use the pool, lower the volume. KIDS will always want to use the pool. BUT by far THE best feature of the hotel is just how close it is to the beach..to the Med...they even have a little tunnel under the road so you don't have to cross a constantly busy road.Overall we had a fantastic experience and would actually return to the hotel..as long as they lower the music! ;-) Oh and PS... The market on a Monday in Cannigione is spectacular!! Go and enjoy the area go and enjoy the local town and enjoy this excellent little hotel!
