    A relaxing stay

    rating30 May 2026

We had a lovely relaxing 10 night stay, being early in season it’s quiet, we did arrive about an hour or so before room ready and was checked in and wrist bands on , able to have lunch. grounds are lovely , and only 10mins walk to beach, as early was lovely and deserted . Sea bit chilly but ok. We was in the loft room renovated, very nice , lovely view .comfy beds Maid change towels every day, made beds. Fine , nice hairdryer , kettle, but lucky we brought out own tea bags/coffee and got milk /water from shop . Fridge in room. Nice fly screen when having door open, can link tv to phone to watch Netflix Only negative the shower can flood floor as no door , so using towels to dry. Floor not always swept Glass between balconies so don’t feel private. Luckily we didn’t have many people on our side and they didn’t sit on balcony. No air Con , we did complain , we did sleep as warm on top floor no sheet and door open all stay. They said was too early in season ! Being remote seem hear dogs at night and get woken by a lot birds in morning. Also is up very steep 2 flights stairs , no lift. Was fit by end of holiday, lol !The food is the main let down otherwise would given 5 stars. Mostly barely warm , shame as tasted ok. even on the show cooking area mostly pre cooked and hit and miss if hot. Sometimes get a warm plate. Don’t think the heat lamps work very well. And worried , but surprisingly never had upset tummy. Was quite repetitive and struggled some days. Did nice pizza couple nights and was hot , nuggets and mousaka. But always salad and Greek cheese ! Bread lovely , desserts ok again bit same.Italian restaurant not open as early in season. Rose wine ok and beer in restaurant. Luckily we took our own duty free drink as found from the bar mostly sweet syrup tasting alcohol so never went there And they allow smoking inside bar so put us off going in , different rules abroad. And when it rains very limited areas to sit. We liked the quiet pool , strangely always roped off. But did go in for swim ! Like few others . Free bus to Pekhochori is good and nice to walk around. About 10mins drive. Cafes , bars, shops restaurants have to book at receptionLeaves 10am. Back at 2pm Evening 7pm. Comes back 10pm We did book at reception excursion, cruise to mount Athos , very nice and saw dolphins. Go on pirate ship , get off at Ouranoupolis for short time, shops/ restaurants, recommend Mamoynia -lovely pizza /burger .Hotel staff polite and helpful. Lady at shop very helpful outside hotel, good selection food/ souvenirs, And a well stocked beach shop. Chrousso Village Hotel, Sales at Chrousso Village Hotel, responded to this review Dear Julia,Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed, lovely, and beautifully honest review of your recent 10-night stay with us! Reading your feedback truly brought smiles to our faces. We are so glad that you enjoyed the peace and quiet of the early season, our beautiful grounds, and that lovely 10-minute stroll to the beach. It’s wonderful to know you loved your renovated loft room, the views, and that you managed to catch up on your favorite Netflix shows! Your kind words about our polite staff and our helpful shop lady will definitely be passed on to the whole team. We are also thrilled that you enjoyed the Mount Athos cruise and even got to see dolphins—what a magical experience! We truly appreciate your constructive feedback as well, as it helps us explain a few details and fine-tune our services:The Food & Buffet Temperature: We take your comments about food temperature seriously and will certainly check our buffet heating lamps. We would just like to gently mention that in Mediterranean countries, especially during the warmer months, food is traditionally served at a slightly milder temperature compared to Northern Europe to keep it light and enjoyable. However, for our guests who prefer their in a higher temperature, we always have a microwave available at the buffet area, and our kitchen team is always happy to assist!Air Conditioning & Seasonality: May is always a tricky transition month for weather! Because our resort operates on a centralized climate system, the main unit can only be set to either full heating or full cooling. During the early weeks of May, when temperatures fluctuate between warm days and very cool nights, finding the perfect balance for everyone can be a challenge, but we appreciate your understanding.Showers & Balconies: Thank you for pointing out the layout details. Some of our bathrooms feature open-walk-in layouts, but your feedback regarding the floor and balcony privacy is highly valuable for our ongoing improvements. The Main Bar: Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the indoor bar area; we always try to balance seating options, especially when the early spring rain surprises us.We are so happy that despite these details, you had a really lovely, relaxing break and left us with a smile. Thank you for being such wonderful guests, and we would absolutely love to welcome you back for another peaceful getaway in the future!Warmest regards, Guest Relations

    Remote picturesque hotel

    rating22 May 2026

There are pros and cons with this hotel like most hotels. Pros first, very well kept garden clean and presentable. Cosy beds cleaners did a fantastic job too!! Reception staff are excellent they will help you with anything you require and were so friendly! Peaceful surroundings, decent food, bar was ok but lots of wasps and all inclusive cocktails were pretty good! Free bus to Pefkochori which was a life saver as it's in a remote spot and beach is ten min walk and is fantastic!Cons; As it's remote you can't really go walking as it's all up hill, no shops nearby except the onsite shop which was more expensive. Do not do the CAVE TRIP it took 2-3 hours to get there and back so wasn't worth seeing to be honest, it was an incredibly long day on a coach! No door on the shower so the bathroom turned into a swimming pool and no drinks in the fridge not even any water which would have been decent considering we were all inclusive and yes there was a kettle but no tea or coffee, luckily I brought my own. Sun loungers were uncomfortable so I took a pillow with me. No price list at the bar and I didn't feel comfortable asking how much is a disaronno. No snacks apart from some tiny pastries which was disappointing. Pay extra for proper coffee which I did once for €5. Would I say this is a 4 star hotel, no I think it's a 3 star but if you really want to get away from it all then it's a good shout. Entertainment was minimal but it was the start of the season. We really enjoyed our holiday though because we were able to use the free bus and visit poloychrono and Hanoiti so all in all a really lovely relaxing break. Ps if you love a spa there's one about ten minutes drive away but get a cab cos there are lots of hills! Thank you for looking after us. Chrousso Village Hotel, Sales at Chrousso Village Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest ,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had a lovely, relaxing break and that you enjoyed our peaceful surroundings, our beautifully kept gardens, and the comfort of our beds.Your kind words about our hard-working housekeeping team and our reception staff truly mean the world to us—we will be sure to pass on your compliments to them! We are also glad that our complimentary shuttle bus service to Pefkochori was useful and allowed you to explore the beautiful surrounding areas with ease.We appreciate every piece of feedback from our guests, as it helps us understand how we can enhance the holiday experience we offer. Please allow us to share some insights regarding the points you mentioned:Excursions (Cave Trip): We are sorry to hear that the journey felt too long. We would like to gently clarify that the Cave Trip is organized and operated by an independent, partner travel agency and is not run directly by our hotel. However, we always share our guests' feedback with our partners to ensure quality control.Room Amenities & All-Inclusive Concept: As an all-inclusive resort, our philosophy focuses on providing unlimited refreshments throughout the day at our main bar and restaurant. A lot of our guests use these stations, where many also conveniently refill their personal water flasks or bottles. Similarly, while we provide kettles in the rooms, a wide variety of tea bags and coffee is readily available at our bars for our guests to enjoy at any time.Bathroom Layout & Facilities: We take note of your comment regarding the shower design. Some of our bathrooms feature open-walk-in layouts, but we understand how this can sometimes be less practical, and your feedback is highly valuable for our ongoing maintenance and future upgrades.Bar Prices & Snacks: Please accept our apologies if any lack of visible pricing made you feel uncomfortable. Even within an all-inclusive package, a full price list for premium or extra-charge brands is always available, and we will ensure it is more prominently displayed. We are also continuously reviewing our snack variety and poolside comfort (including sun loungers) to meet the expectations of our 4-star standard. It is wonderful to know that despite these minor details, you thoroughly enjoyed your holiday, made the most of the nearby spa, and left with fond memories.Thank you once again for choosing us for your getaway and for your kind appreciation of our hospitality. We would be delighted to welcome you back in the future for an even better experience!Warm regards, Guest Relations

    Friends trip

    rating21 May 2026

Firstly let me say the grounds of this hotel is beautiful and maintained to a very high standard, everything was clean and the beds were very conformable. (We had a renovated room)I have marked this as a 4 and not 5 for the following reasons. 1. Food - was very repetitive and not many options, was the least amount of choice I’ve had in any hotel. The worst bit was they didn’t have labels, we never knew what the food was, this was such a downfall ! Food that we did eat was nice when it was hot, seems like some of the hot plates don’t work, which then put me off eating any meat. 2. The pool, there really aren’t many seats around the pool, most of the seats are on the grass. The pool should open at 10am but the lifeguard seemed to kinda turn up whenever he would like, he was in charge of the towels and moving the sun beds back to where they should be around the pool. Personally I don’t think the lifeguard should be sorting out towels for people his eyes should be fully on the pool. Also I’ve never known a lifeguard to sit in a corner under a tree, every place I go to the lifeguard is up high or in the centre to have a clear view. 3. Entertainment - think they were all knew, seemed nervous and not really sure what they were doing. By the end of the week, more activities was happening but a little too late for us. (They were very friendly and polite) Everything was lovely and the beach near by which was about 10 minute walk is absolutely stunning and you should definitely go, they also do water sports on here. Overall we had a great stay so thank you, but think of those few things were tweaked I would have give you 5 stars. 1 shout out to the manager, I don’t know her name but she was there every day of our stay and always had a smile and always made us feel happy and welcome. She was always in the pool bar. Thank you for our holiday. Chrousso Village Hotel, Sales at Chrousso Village Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for choosing our hotel for your friends' trip and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you found our grounds beautiful, everything clean, and your renovated room's beds very comfortable. It is also wonderful to know you enjoyed the nearby beach and that our manager at the pool bar made you feel so welcome with her daily smile! We truly appreciate your constructive points, as they help us refine our services, and we would like to share some updates and insights regarding your observations:1. Dining Experience: We are happy you found the food tasty, but we hear you on the labeling. Unfortunately, we experienced a delayed delivery of our new labels at the start of the season. We are glad to inform you that this issue has now been fully resolved, and all dishes are properly marked. Regarding the temperature, Mediterranean culinary traditions often serve food at a different temperature than northern countries. However, all our hot plates are fully functional, and there is also a microwave available in the restaurant for our guests' convenience. Please never hesitate to approach our restaurant staff for any questions or requests!2. Pool Area & Lifeguard Duties: Thank you for bringing the lifeguard's morning timing to our attention; this is a point we are addressing internally to ensure strict adherence to schedule. Regarding the towels, this is a standard, quick process we have safely practiced for years without any distraction from supervision. Furthermore, due to the specific size and layout of our pool, and as it is a controlled pool environment rather than the open sea, a lifeguard tower is not legally required. Our certified lifeguard is always on duty, actively monitoring the area and moving around the perimeter to ensure everyone's safety.3. Entertainment Team:Concerning the entertainment team, you have correctly pointed out that they were brand new this season Our animation team was indeed brand new, and each year the entertainment program is completely refreshed. A short adjustment period is natural at the beginning, but we are very glad you noticed their improvement and appreciated their friendly and polite attitude towards the end of your stay.Thank you once again for your valuable review and for your 4-star rating. We are so glad that, overall, you had a great holiday with us, and we would love to welcome you and your friends back in the future to show you our continuous improvements!Warm regards,Guest Relations

    *Everything* reeked of cigarette smoke

    rating09 Feb 2026

We stayed for two weeks and our overriding memory is that *every single* area of the hotel and its grounds stank of cigarettes. We'd plumped for a deluxe room but it absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke, it was very unpleasant; we were told this was due to a previous guest but there's no way that was the case – it was ingrained in every surface. After we complained, someone went into our room while we were out and sprayed vanilla air freshener everywhere, which did nothing but make an overwhelming smell. We insisted on a different room, which didn't smell, but was just a standard on the ground floor. The dining room was fine, with a decent food selection — however, there's a smoking area right next to the large windows that they open when it's warm, so the dining room just fills up with the smell of cigarettes. The bar is also always packed with smokers, as were the outside seating areas. We were unlucky with the weather, which is no fault of theirs obviously, but that did expose another issue – when it rains there's virtually nowhere to sit, other than your room or the bar. Even under the large outdoor umbrellas, which eventually had to be taken down because of the wind, there were always clouds of cigarette smoke. The beach is fine, with nice clear waters, but the sand was always absolutely stuffed with litter and used cigarette butts. Do guests do nothing but smoke??Add onto this the bizarre and utterly wasteful plastic cup situation, and the insanely loud Friday night 'entertainment' that you couldn't even escape by going to your room. It was a disappointing holiday at what is definitely not a 'four star' hotel.
