  Overcrowded beach not for hotel guests

  Absurd policy for which the beach is not reserved for hotel guestsYou have to reserve and pay sunbeds and umbrellas extra.I reserved yesterday and paid extra only to arrive this morning and be told there’s no place in the first raw which I have paid and reserved for but I see emplty seats.Never coming back afroditi pantazi, Ιδιοκτήτης at Lagomandra Beach Hotel, responded to this review Dear 99arianna, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience with the beach did not meet your expectations.We would like to clarify that the beach area is not reserved exclusively for hotel guests as it is open to all visitors and therefore sunbeds and umbrellas must be reserved and paid separately. This policy is the same for everyone in order to ensure fair access. That said, we did provide you with front row sunbeds and an umbrella as per reservation, and we regret if there was any misunderstanding regarding availability at the time of your arrival. We truly value your input but we feel this does not reflect the reason for a one-star review.   Overpriced , not 4 star hotel

  This is not hotel , it is practicaly lot with rooms and parking. The price of hotel is verry high for quality of everything they offer. Staff was unpleasant and unhelpful. Pool is verry old . Food was average .As beach hotel they should give sunbeds for free not to charge them. Also only restaurant on beach is open for outside tourists so it is always crowded. Our property is officially classified as a four-star hotel that meets all required standards. The hotel offers full facilities and services, far beyond "rooms and parking". Our hotel offers far more than basic accommodation. Guests can enjoy a full service spa with massages ,facial treatments ,manicures and pedicures. We also provide a wide range of entertainment activities like mini disco, karaoke, table tennis, basketball court, electronic games, darts, treasure hunts, bingo and face painting for children among all. Beyond the hotel grounds, we also provide access to horse riding ,boat rentals and car hire , we also have a shuttle bus that takes tourists to nearby towns ,so guests can explore and enjoy the area to the fullest. We also provide a full program of evening entertainment, including Latin dance nights, live Greek music with traditional dancing, and other themed events for our guests. Furthermore, sun beds by the pool are complimentary for guests, beach sunbeds follow the standard local rental policy. Also, our pool is maintained daily and meets all hygiene and safety standards. The beachfront restaurant is open to outside visitors by design, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere and high-quality fresh cuisine. Last but not least, our pricing is fully in line with comparable four-star hotels in the area.   Highly recommend this resort in Halkidiki

  We are a family of 4 with 2 kids of 6 and 13. I don’t usually leave reviews but this time I felt I could contribute something.Our holiday experience has been long haul, all inclusives and in Europe mainly villas and apartments with car hire. This time we only had a week available so it was easier to stay in one place.We booked with Jet 2 from Edinburgh. Price was very reasonable and actually overall we now realise it was a bargain.Jet 2 were really good. Thessaloniki airport was well organised and it was easy to get through in both directions. Flights were on time. Transfers left on time both directions and passed quickly.Lagomandra beach hotel is on the beach and behind it is Lagomandra Spa.The area is very scenic.We were the only British people there ????They would welcome more Scottish people and its an obvious one from Edinburgh so maybe next year we will bump into some fellow Scots.The rooms are modern, comfortable, very clean and have daily cleaning and towel change.Its a small resort so its a short stroll to the pools and beach. The pools are quiet and have plenty sunbeds all with umbrellas. The pool bar has a large shared area with tables and chairs. The sea is perfect, its like a pool untill 2 pm when the tide is coming in. There are 3 beach areasThe hotel beach has plenty of sunbeds and is really well organised. To one side is a large area where you can park yourself away from the sunbeds. The other side is a public beach with a wooded area. That’s where the usual watersports are.There is a well stocked shop on the site.We were half board and the food was excellent and varied. I recommend the Sauvignon Blanc if you like white wine. Very good Mohitos. The beach bar cafe has really good Pitta bread/ gyros and salad sandwiches for 5 Euros for lunch. The beach restaurant has the best calamari, grilled shrimps and general seafood and is very reasonable. Lunch for 4 with drinks around 90 euros. The beach showers actually work.The Spa hotel has evening Entertainment and organised kids activities.The main standouts for us was the work that Notis the manager and Aphroditi his assistant have done in creating the best team of people I have ever come across. They are all hardworking, happy and really eager to please. You quickly get to know them and they always welcome you with a smile.
