I cannot speak highly enough of the Hotel and it's Staff

    rating23 Sept 2025

This was our first visit to the Port Marina Hotel, but we will definitely be going again. We went in the first 2 weeks of September, and the Hotel was fairly quiet. Although the rooms are quite basic, they are well attending by the housekeeping staff. We went 'all inclusive' and the food was excellent with a mix of cuisines to suite everybody. (even fish fingers, chips and sprouts!)I cannot speak highly enough of the Staff. They were all very friendly, polite and helpful. I am disabled but the Hotel was easy to navigate. One of my daughters has special needs and the Staff were very kind to her and made her feel special (something that's not often experienced!)The minibus (and driver) is an amazing perk. It took you into Pefkohori and brought you back and also to the local beach and back. It was great not having to worry about getting out and about. The pool is exactly as it looks in the pictures and is well maintained; it was also actually warm enough to swim in!Overall, I would say that this Hotel is definitely value for money and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

    Fabulous 👌

Great Hotel, shame about TripAdvisors ridiculous password change right in the middle of writing a review though. Go there you will love it, you can get away from the narrow minded rip off UK, its GREAT FOOD, FREE BOOZE (go all inclusive) and *4 EUROS* for a packet of cigarettes, WONDERFUL STAFF, SUNSHINE and feeling HAPPY, PALM TREES and OLIVES everywhere, Ignore the pompous reviews just GO You won't want to come back.

After reading the reviews for this hotel prior to our holiday, we were very nervous. However, having just returned, there was no need for our concerns. This is a lovely, clean family run hotel. Every member of staff we encountered were very welcoming and friendly. Special shout out to the shuttle bus driver, the lifeguard and the bar staff who were fantastic. The rooms are basic, but they are clean and tidy. The air conditioning worked absolutely fine. The beds are very firm and not comfortable, and this is the only negative of our stay. Other than that, the rooms are as expected. The beds are made daily and towels changed every 3 days. Rooms also have a fridge/freezer which is very useful. The pool is a great size and depth. No issues getting a sunbed during our stay. There is a fairly busy road that runs alongside the hotel, but this is completely hidden by trees/bushes and you soon forget it's there. The food was delicious. Breakfast had the same options daily with a variety of different foods available for lunch/dinner. Plenty of choice and we all ate well. Ice cream for the children available every lunch/dinner too.I would recommend a visit to Pefkohori. Free shuttle from hotel takes 5-10 minutes. Loads of shops, bars and restaurants to visit. Overall, a fantastic holiday and would recommend a visit!

Great holiday! Not a great hotel! We were initially put off by previous reviews however thought surely it can't be that bad!. However we regret not changing our hotel, from the off set our room although basic and very dated which we could live with, had previously guests belongings including medication left in and the floor in the bedroom had what looked like the contents of a mans electric razor all over the floor, not to mention the durex lubrication which was left in the bedside drawer!! the smell from the toilet was horrendous! We had to leave seat down and door closed. The beds were that bad we had to put blankets on top of mattress to try and make it bearable. Damaged balcony furniture and despite there being a kitchenette there wasn't even a plastic cup to use. Air con- noisy and continuous dripping was only in main area so kids were cold we were dying in the main bedroom. Shower has a vent in the middle of the bathroom floor which the water/ bubbles from shower then came back up and flooded bathroom!Food breakfast was good however not much variety for lunch & dinner we ate out 5/7 nights due to this which obviously wasn't what we were expecting on an all inclusive holiday! And no snacks bar! Signs up everywhere saying you can't bring your own food down to pool area etc however with kids what do they expect Area: hotel is in the middle of a main road in the middle of no where! In the distance there was a shop however there are no foot paths so you were literally walking along a very busy road. Hotel offer bus service to beach and local town however not regular and if you miss the bus taxis aren't readily available we waited in a taxi rank for 30mins worried with two kids as the first taxi refused to take us to the hotel so we had to rely on the bus which last pick up was 21:30 - it was a 8 seater and one night had 15 of us in! Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten back Can't fault the pool area always beds and peaceful the life guard was always there and he was the only member of staff who went round and spoke to everyone. In the whole week we were there we were one of three English families so if your kids like to play and make friends this isn't the right hotel. No entertainment/ no pool games. Wifi- terrible! They say in communal areas however the only area was reception which even then wasn't strong enough to load Google maps! Staff were pleasant didn't really try to make any conversation don't know if it was the language barrier but they didn't seem interested they were the same faces and did graft hard didn't get the vibe they were enjoying themselves .The beach isn't that close it's 10-15 mins down a dusty sandy road opposite the hotel which traffic gets quite busy due to the water park being there. Beach itself was lovely the bar down there does nice food and decent cocktails obviously at a cost but wasn't badly priced. Ultra all-inclusive if they can call it that was questionable! However if you want to pay then they have a cocktail menu and premium spirits I will attach the drinks menu.On a whole we took our concerns to the rep & hotel management who sent in additional cleaner, and said we could potentially move however we were on day two and they said it would take at least two days to sort paperwork and we were only there for the week so as an apology from the hotel we received a bowl of fruit & bottle of wine to our room. We had a great holiday however we spent an additional £900 on food & excursions to make this enjoyable. If it had a bit of TLC and entertainment it could be alot better.

    Noisy and far from everything

    rating20 Jul 2025

Unfortunately, this did not meet expectations or the travel operator's information. The hotel is NOT 300 meters from the beach but closer to 700 meters (with GPS) and it is a dusty road to walk on to get there. The hotel has a public transport, but it goes late to the beach and far too early back home. The hotel only has Wifi in public areas and even there the network is unstable. There is no Wifi in the rooms. The beds are rock hard to sleep on, fortunately we got a mattress topper eventually, which helped somewhat with the comfort. The food in the restaurant is quite boring and music is played continuously at all meals. You cannot sit outside unless you like to eat surrounded by cigarette smoke from the guests. There is a road right past the hotel, so you can hear the hiss from it 24/7. We did not have to hear it at night, because then the air conditioning system was so noisy that it drowned out everything. The cleaning was good, however, and the staff are nice and helpful. Unfortunately, it does not make up for the overall experience of this hotel.
