Location is great, we walked everywhere. Hotel clean, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Stayed for 6 nights as a family of 4. Room very spacious, clean and modern although shower room could do with a re-fit. Also no black out curtains so very light in the morning.Pool area lovely and quiet. We had the pool to ourselves most days. Pool quite cold though and no shallow end. It's very deep.Breakfast was lovely, fresh orange and coffee made to order which was a nice touch. We stayed half board and found the menu very limited (not much greek food on offer) but the food itself was nice enough, especially the salads. This could be improved by adding a few greek dishes (fresh fish/Moussaka etc). Service however was poor. We felt a bit like an inconvenience to the waitress and despite dessert apparently being included, we were never offered this. When we finished the meal the kids had to go ask for ice cream, which was brought but all the dirty plates left on the table. Strange as no one else ever dining so waitress has nothing else to do. Given we were the only diners, the service should have been amazing but sadly it was poor.The location of the hotel was great. 5 min walk to the ferry and 2 min walk to the bus stop. There is a lovely beach the other side of the port and a couple of beach bars which were chilled at night time. We stayed 6 nights however on reflection, there isn't much to do on Ios so I would say 4 nights is enough. Its a very windy island, which is good when hot but means sitting on the beach is impossible some days. Something to bear in mind if that's your thing as I'd say 4/6 days it was too windy to go on the beach. Lastly a minor thing, but on booking it states €7 per night tax but on arrival we were charged €10 per night. I questioned this at reception and was told she would look into it but didnt ever get back to me. I booked direct with hotel and their email clearly states €7. Overall a good, small hotel well located for exploring Ios. I would however stay b&b.

The most perfect escape!

Just returned from 6 nights here and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at! So calm and relaxed, the pool area is lovely, the rooms are super clean - cleaned every day too by lovely maids. Beds at are comfy and room view was amazing.Breakfast was delicious & we had room service once which was great, and ate in the restaurant once - both delicious!All staff were welcoming and went above and beyond for us!Highly recommend!

A most pleasant hotel on Ios

We have just returned from a super holiday on Ios where we stayed at the Relux Hotel.The hotel is only a very short walk from where the ferry arrives from Santorini. All the staff were very friendly - Stefanos who runs the outside bar beside the breakfast/dining area is great fun and knows everything about the island (he also makes excellent morning coffee). The buffet breakfast was very good with the lovely Christina on hand to keep everything spotlessly clean. The hotel pool has loungers and is very well looked after but we enjoyed taking the local bus at the harbour to Mylopotas where there is a great beach with good restaurants - it's an hourly service for 2 euros. We hired a car for one day from Jacob's Rental next door and were well looked after by Maria and Katarina - we covered most of the island that way.All in all, Relux is in a superb setting at the port with great staff and tavernas within a 5 minute walk - highly recommended!
