  Stayed at these apartments for 2 weeks in September this year. They are one of the best apartments we have stayed in over the 20 years we have had the great pleasure of visiting Kefalonia. The apartments are large, clean, well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and most of all the view is just stunning from the private balconies. Although we didn't use the pool much as we prefer the sea, it is very new and is kept extremely clean. The apartments are a little bit remote (which we love) so a car is definitely worth hiring. In any case the island is so beautiful it is worth having a car to have a good look around the island. Michael and his uncle Gerry are both very helpful and kind.

  - very beautiful garden, swimming pool, wonderful view, tranquility- the air conditioning did not work, it only served to ventilate the air, I could not sleep due to the heat- The shower cabin was defective but it was not a major problem- careless bathroom sink- there are no glasses for wine, but only for beer;- there could be a minimum base in the kitchenette: salt, pepper, a drop of oil ...

  Beautiful pool, amazing views, peaceful location with access to lovely restaurants and beaches within walking distance. Locals lovely and welcoming as well as staff. Rooms are kept clean, perfect family holiday just need to stay for longer!

  Lovely clean apartments and pool

  Two separate apartment blocks here - the one we stayed in, just 100 yards uphill above the pool (6 apartments), another 100 yards below the pool downhill (12 apartments). All maintained to a high standard, with regular and thorough cleaning and hosted by friendly Jerry. The snack bar by the pool is closed up, so bring your own refreshments to pool. Very clean, quiet and beautiful. Not for you if you want to be sitting round a rowdy pool bar with others watching sky sports to the wee hours. If that’s the case, better to try elsewhere. We loved it, but then we are middle aged and happy in our own company! Enjoy.

  What can I say, just returned from a week stay at Afrato Village Apartments, had an amazing room (18) with some of the best views overlooking the sea on the island. They are large, clean and well equipped with big fridge /freezer and small oven. The flowers, cake and water on arrival added to the room. However there is no reception so you will need to bring a contact number of the owner (Jerry) if arriving out of hours!The location is a little remote so you may need a car, but we use to walk up to the bars/restaurants (20 mins well lit but take a torch the road can get very busy), and although it looks close to the beach you can't get there direct and have to walk up to the top road and round which is a shame.There are a couple of supermarkets up near the bars which cater for all your needs and an ATM although most restaurants took cards. We recommend La Mer restaurant (you might need to book as very popular, but the lamb La Mer was too died for and the beef fillet melted in your mouth!!)The pool side is clean and very quiet, as it was September the pool bar was shut, but we just took our own drinks down no problem, plenty of sunbeds and parasols. If you are sun worshipers then this is perfect, we like to get out and see the island and beaches which are easy to drive too from here then lounge by the pool late afternoon.Would we return? absolutely!!
