  Beautiful location, clean, great apartments, relaxing. Could be perfect with some minor changes.

  Currently staying at this resort, beautiful stunning location, unspoiled, natural beauty. Atmosphere is quiet, if you want relaxation this is the place. Some beautiful restaurants and beaches locally between 10/20 minutes away. Rooms are excellent, good size, very clean and stylish. Good TV with Netflix. Excellent staff, room cleaned thoroughly every day, staff even cleaned the dishes which we were not expecting. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Value, overall the holiday / accommodation is good value however the bar drinks, food and snacks in my opinion are very expensive 26 euros for x4 ice creams.. ! nothing special just your standard cornetto, I would not have purchased had I known at the time, I have paid much less in the centre of Italy for luxury homemade Italian ice cream. The drinks / food are also very expensive and unsure why? Surely more people would buy from here if the price was more reasonable? I would not purchase anything from the hotel again. The local vineyard is a real treat 5 euros for a glass of wine in a stunning location. Overall - stunning location, great beaches, beautiful vineyard and restaurants, hotel stylish , clean and relaxing, cost of snacks, drink and food at the hotel let it down slightly.

  Avithos Resort our goto place to unwind

  This is our 'go to' place for relaxation. Wonderful quiet atmosphere. Fabulous spacious rooms with either a balcony or small garden patio. Avithos is spotless and is situated on the outer edge of the small village of Savronata approximately 10 mins transfer fro the airport. Flights arriving and leaving the airport go by with any intrusion or indeed noise. It's so peaceful The service is beyond reproach and nothing is too much trouble Always a smile from Christina. The swimming pool is large and clean surrounded by sunbeds. Breakfast is by the pool although each room has its own small kitchen with fridge, hot plate and microwave to self catering is an option. There are plenty of options for evening meals with several local tavernas within walking distance. Avithos beach with its two Tavernas is a lovely spot to see the sunset and eat. Ai Helis beach is a short walk and is great for sunbathing and swimming.We first stayed at Avithos Resort 10 years ago and return each year

  Nice but pricey

  Nice hotel apartments, nice staff, but a bit remote. If you come here I'd suggest hiring a car.At only 10 minutes from the airport and only an average of 15 minute walk to the restaurants, I would still suggest hiring a car. This is a self catering hotel. Breakfast is around 22 Euros per person a day which is expensive. We did it the first day and it was over priced for what it was.The local shop is well stocked but not cheap and a 20 minute walk if it is not too hot. A hire car may find somewhere cheaper.Nice pool, great staff but the bar is reasonably expensive at 7 Euros a beer and the food is pricey. The Bar menu is the same all day. We had lunch and dinner once. Nice food, but pricey for what it was. If the bar and food prices were a bit more reasonable then they would get used more.   Relaxing stay

  We had an excellent stay at this lovely relaxing hotel.There isn’t much to stay as we agree mostly with everything that has been said.Our room was on the ground floor with a terrace with table, chairs, and two deck chairs. Our favourite restaurant was Esperides which was a short walk away. Every meal we had there was excellent. Crazy George and the Bakery next door were good too.We went into Argostoli twice on the bus which you get at the crossroads a short walk from the hotel. Unfortunately we had a couple of days of bad weather but were able to walk between showers. There was also Netflix and other streaming channels on the tv should you want to watch them.   Style over substance

  I would give this hotel 3.5 if I could but I don’t believe it deserves a 3 so 4 it is!We have just returned from a fortnight at this hotel. Whilst overall it was a pleasant stay (apart from the weather which is beyond anyone’s control!), there were quite a few things which could be improved on.The hotel and gardens are lovely. The plants and surroundings are very well maintained and the hotel is very stylish. We liked seeing the tortoises in their grassy area!However, I believe that in many areas, the hotel prioritises style over substance and comfort. The seating area in the reception looks great but is mostly very uncomfortable.Our room looked very stylish but I couldn’t believe that there wasn’t a single drawer to put away our stuff. There was open hanging space but otherwise, we had to live out of our suitcase for two weeks which wasn’t great. Also, there was a huge light shade over our little dining table and more often than not, we hit our heads on it when we got up!Around the pool area, there were a few cabanas with thick cushions on them. These were very comfortable but the other sunbeds only had thin mattresses which I found very uncomfortable. There were several notices dotted around saying that reserving sunbeds was not allowed and that the staff would remove any items left. People did of course take no notice of this and we didn’t see any staff removing them. Highly annoying as always!We had a car the whole time we were here, which we would recommend. Restaurants start closing at the beginning of October although some do stay open. We can recommend Esperides, Fois and Sea Salt which are all within fairly easy walking distance of the hotel. We needed our phone torches on the way back though as the lighting on the roads surrounding the hotel aren’t great.We didn’t use the hotel bar or restaurant as it seemed very overpriced.Overall, a pleasant holiday but we wouldn’t return to this hotel.
