  Staff amazing hotel needs upgrading .

  Mixed views regarding hotel . Very dated . Bathroom functional but the bath looked like it had been painted many times . Rust around plug hole . The rooms in main hotel were on corridors . The corridors had lights on all night . The room door had a gap at the bottom .which let light through from corridor . The rooms are not sound proof. A few nights could hear people being sick in their bathrooms . The room had a fridge but was noisy all night . We had several ants in our room So I struggled to sleep most nights because of noise .The furniture was dated .No safe in our room so had to take our money & valuables with us The staff at the hotel are so kind and friendly . The cleaners did a good job The breakfast was not the best but okay . With a few tweaks & more choices could be nice .

  Excellent relaxing hotel

  We booked the Karavados beach hotel as we wanted a relaxing week away, this is exactly what we got.We travelled as a couple and knew the hotel was remote so wasn't shocked by this, the food at the hotel is excellent so we didn't feel the need to go elsewhere.The rooms were cleaned daily and were adequate, all staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the pool area really good with excellent views.There is a daily bus from outside the hotel in to Argostoli for €2 each, this leaves at 9.15 and returns at 1.45. We did go to Argostoli to see the turtles and it is definitely worth a trip.There is also a small beach with in a 5 minute walk, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with any kind of issues walking as it is quite a steep hill back up.We would definitely go back to this hotel but if you are wanting to do things you would need to hire a car.

  Great Holiday!

  We arrived at the hotel and made our way to reception where we were warmly welcomed. Our room had been recently refurbished and was just excellent, this was the self catering apartment on the lower floor with a second bedroom all overlooking the sea. New furniture, beds and paint made an extremely comfortable stay and catered for us as a family of four. The staff were extremely helpful and always willing to answer any questions. Lovely people who made us smile on a daily basis. They also got on very well with the children. The food was excellent with lots of flavour so top marks to the chiefs. A huge variety of fish and meat dishes. Our boys aged 10 and 7 eat Tzatziki and calamari by the bucket load! Don’t forget to look on the last back page of the menu, we found pizzas! Easily missed. House wine is ok, but the Robola (Local) white is excellent and at 18 euros chilled, brilliant. The pool is just the best temperature for all and the children spend hours in here. One deep end one shallow. Excellent super large pool. Kids can jump and dive sensibly. The life guard (male) could do with upping his game to avoid an incident pre rather than post an event. Female life guard was excellent and very conscious. Suppose it’s down to the parents to look after their children. 10 minute walk to beach where there are two restaurants/beach club, loved these. Also other restaurants 10-20min walk, down a track. Joyce pool bar for brunch and also Dennis restaurant on another beach. We liked both of these. Crystal clear waters with snorkelling. Beach over the rocks was unbelievable and so special, within 10minute walk. We got two quad bikes from Themis (Explore ,rent bike quad) who picked us up, he is only up the road. ‪+30 699 426 1877‬ , would recommend. We went to the other side of the island and other beaches. What a great time on these. Stopped in at the bee lady (local with quads/car) in the hills and bought lots of honey. This was such a great holiday. We will be returning.   The hotel is in a lovely location and conveniently 7 miles from the airport. I will break the report down to star gradings. The overall grading is 3 star, however in more detail: The outside areas, the pool and the gardens are beautiful, the gardens in particular are immaculate. The outside are easily 4 star. The community areas, reception, bar, dining room etc: 3 star. Unfortunately the bedrooms let the hotel down. I can only grade mine, in particular the bathroom was outdated and poor. The shower head over the bath kept falling out of the holder which couldn't be adjusted, the wash basin plug didn't hold water and the fan made a noise similar to a jet aircraft accelerating, There was very limited drawer space in the the bedroom, only the bedside tables and 3 small ones in the wardrobe. The bedroom 3 minus. One thing that was easily a 5 star plus was the staffing, the were always friendly, smiling and couldn't do enough for you.

  Wonderful place to stay, super clean, amazingly friendly staff, great food, wonderful views. Easy access to beach. Pool area has lots of space and plenty of sunbeds.
