Great views and pool area
19 Sept 2026
Stunning pool area and views. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nearest village wonderful with enough bars and restraunts of good quality. Unfortunately there were a few issues. Had to visit reception on 3 occasions to raise issues of toilet flushing issues, safe not opening and air con not working. To obtain the stunning views the hotel is at the end of the road and has ( we counted) 100 stairs to get from the road up to our room and that includes 3 lifts. By the end of each day we had had enough of the stairs. Room basic and functional- just about but very tired. We had a corner bath with shower attachment above- no enclosure so the water went everywhere. Webadmin HotelBrain, General Manager at Kefalonia Bay Palace by GHH, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your stay at Kefalonia Bay Palace. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our stunning pool area, beautiful views, friendly and helpful team, and the nearby village of Agia Efimia with its lovely selection of bars and restaurants. At the same time, we are truly sorry that certain aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused by the issues with the toilet flushing, safe, and air conditioning, particularly as you had to contact reception several times. We also appreciate your comments regarding the condition and functionality of the bathroom, as well as the layout of the room. Our hillside location allows us to offer the spectacular sea views that many of our guests enjoy, but we understand that the stairs and different levels of the property can be tiring, especially after a full day out. We appreciate you highlighting this, as well as your observations about the room facilities and overall condition. Your feedback is valuable to us as we continue to review how we can improve our guests’ comfort and experience.Thank you again for your honest comments and for recognizing the positive aspects of our hotel and team. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more comfortable and enjoyable stay in beautiful Kefalonia.Kind ReagrdsApostolia GasdogaHotel Manager
