It is situated on the south coast of Kefalonia Island, on a hill with panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and the town of Lixouri which is located across the gulf. The cave of St. Gerasimos, who is the island's patron saint, is only a 3-minute walk away. The beach is around 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. It is only 3 km from the island's main bus station and from Argostoli, the capital of the island, and 8 km from Argostolion Airport.

Guests have a choice of 42 apartments and 36 studios. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. The apartment hotel provides a safe, a currency exchange service, a TV room, a library, a car hire service, a fax machine and a smoke alarm. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park.

Fair to say, we won’t be returning. Our welcome from a yawning receptionist didn’t fill you with confidence as he accompanied us to our room. The room was clean but very ‘tired’ & basic. Minimal equipment is provided (no food prep knives/equipment) and not even a tea towel or sponge to wash up with. I’m not sure how anyone trying to self cater would cope. There is nowhere comfortable to sit and relax- just hard metal chairs on the small balcony. The view from the balcony is one of the few positives. The only seating inside the apartment is a hard, wooden framed bed with no back.If you don’t have a car, the walk back up from the beaches/restaurants is steep.Lassi itself might be a good location for exploring the island but it is basically one busy road lined with hotels, shops, car hire places and restaurants therefore unattractive. We personally wouldn’t recommend it but each to their own.We had breakfast by the pool on the first morning which was OK apart from the ‘freshly squeezed orange juice’. I have never seen orange juice separate before with the solids settling at the bottom of the glass. Turns out it the ‘juice’ included processed peel which you had to spit out. Shame on you.Our holiday was distinctly tainted by our experience at Liberatos Village - so much so we found alternative accommodation in Fiskardo and Assos and finally began to appreciate how beautiful the rest of Kefalonia is.

The views and sunloungers are the best

Our 2nd visit, this time we had a refurbished room on the pool level: much nicer than the previous one with a kitchen up the hill. Great pool and sun loungers with a fab view: these are the highlights.In the room, decent shower, fridge, kettle, hair dryer and comfy bed with super clean bedding and fresh towels. It is very clean.Pool bar is not cheap so stock up in the supermarket and enjoy a drink on your terrace.

My first impression of Liberatos Village was shock at the steep hairpin inclines to get near to the top of the hill where the apartments were sited. I was not aware of this from the booking site. I found out online this is affectionately known as Heart Attack Hill and I fully understand why! This hotel is definitely not suited to people with mobility issues. Even the youngsters were struggling up the hill in the heat. Upon arrival there was sadly no warm welcome or friendly greeting. However the views and the pool were fantastic and made up for everything else that was lacking. The apartment was very basic, although happy to report there was good air conditioning which was a god-send in the heat. The food at the snack bar was limited and very disappointing. I chose to eat out mostly. Unable to recommend the Liberatos Village. Overpriced for a basic apartment in a tricky location. My advice would be to get an apartment closer to the sea with friendlier staff.

Liberatos Village absolutely saved our holiday. After having a really stressful experience with our original accommodation, arriving here was such a relief and completely turned the trip around for us.Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and the beds were actually really comfy which made such a difference after a difficult start to the holiday. The Wi-Fi worked well, the whole place felt relaxed and welcoming, and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived.We also loved how easy it was to get sunbeds without having to get up ridiculously early or fight for one, which made the days by the pool so much more enjoyable. The location was great too and really convenient for getting around.Most importantly, we finally felt able to relax and enjoy our holiday again. We are so grateful to everyone at Liberatos Village for making us feel welcome and giving us the comfortable, stress-free stay we had hoped for in the first place.Would absolutely recommend and would happily stay again. Thank you for genuinely saving our holiday ??

The view is incredible the pool area was great.The accommodation is absolutely awful the rooms are dirty when trying to even open a cuboard door it was stuck with grease.Floors filthy cooker filthy.
