  Relaxing stay

  Spent a week at the Melidron Hotel. It is a perfect location for the beach and restaurants. The staff were genuinely friendly and could not have been more helpful. A special shoutout to the receptionist Eva, who gave a welcome and helped us during our stay. We look forward to returning soon.

  Not the Ritz , but you didn’t pay Ritz prices

  We stayed here for a week and found it perfect for the money we paid. Don’t mind the bad reviews…. And remember what you paid and what you would pay in your own country. So if you want pure luxury, 24hr reception and all the fancy things , go pay it but you can’t get a five star experience for little money.Our room was at the back and on the ground floor and was large. It is dated , as is the hotel but it has a lovely charm about it. The location is perfect , literally a hop, skip and a jump to the beach with a few extra skips to get to the restaurants and shops but still very close. The pool was lovely, with a sea view at one end. The outside, we felt was well maintained. I won’t lie and say it was hard to check in, but after walking around for a few minutes (probably seen on camera), I was sorted but that is really my only complaint. The staff I found were very friendly and we’d take time to talk with them every day with hellos to the cleaning staff as they hadn’t much English, but were friendly too.The breakfast, well what I ate every morning was perfect . I’d are scrambled eggs and one of the breads and fruit daily and all perfect. The bar, I don’t have any experience with as I don’t drink so can’t comment on that.If you like a home from home I’d recommend it but if you’re expecting the Ritz as I said, spend more money on your holiday. Eva the manager and her staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and if we had any issues, all we would have to say is talk to them. If I go back to Skala, I’ll be back ????

  Sad to see the decline

  I’ve seen a few great reviews for Melidron. In the past I’d have totally agreed with them, but I’m more inclined to listen to those of us who’ve stayed under the last owner. Cleaners are still amazing , so can’t fault cleannesses of our rooms, yep they are still tired and in need of updating. I can put up with that if the rest of the service is up to par. But unfortunately the new staff are not experienced enough to cope. I’ve just seen comments about no toaster and warming plates not working….same in June. Surely it’s not hard to rectify that in the last few months. The new owner needs to sort this out or they will be losing all the original goodwill from Zefi. So sad ??

  Grand in its day…. But….!!!!

  No doubt a grand hotel in its day but ….! Pool and area are good, clean, quiet and Comfortable. Hotel and rooms are old fashioned but clean….v good cleaners.“Manager “ is not competent and doesn’t speak much English. Her computer was “ broken “ or perhaps she was unable to use it!????. I e mailed 5 times , to try to confirm my booking etc .without reply. She was seldom in situ and was not available when we checked out…so no receipt/ invoice for our part holiday cash payment or tourist tax. Breakfast was basic but ok , but no toaster and ineffective ’hot’ cabinet and ran out of English tea bags!The Barman was lazy and failed to clean around adequately and even went into the pool fully dressed! He was rude to us and others.Such a shame… Melidron was once brilliant!How the Melidron will survive with the current regime and ownership/management in doubtful.

  Authentic Beautiful place with caring staff!

  Absolutely wonderful stay and experience with the staff who run the authentic beauty of a hotel. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and settle you in which is so heartwarming and a lovely change makes you feel like family guests! My family and I loved it not for the glitz and glamour but for the home away from home feel. Wonderful location too and oh my god the cleanliness is the best we have seen! The rooms are cleaned so neatly daily the value is great couldn’t ask for more so reasonably priced. The breakfast is perfectly enough and totally filling.
