  Another incredible stay at Metaxatos. Gorgeous pool with stunning view set beside a bar wirh extensive drink selection and quality food. Rooms clean and comfy and Christina Paul and Katie are superb. Bravo!

  Beautiful location, but sadly lacking care and attention

  Our holiday in Kefalonia was fantastic, but that was because of the island rather than the accommodation.The positives first: the location in Lassi is excellent, the beds were very comfortable, the pool itself was pleasant, and the Tuesday Greek music night was really enjoyable.The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. It was the first thing we saw when we arrived and it immediately gave a poor impression. The tap had peeling chrome, rust around the fittings and, every time I turned on the cold tap, small silver and black flakes fell into the basin. The shower walls and floor were heavily stained and looked as though they needed deep cleaning or refurbishment. The whole bathroom felt tired and in need of investment.Unfortunately, the rest of the property gave a similar impression. The furniture was chipped and marked, the TV didn't work, and there were very few conveniently placed power sockets. There were only two low down near the floor and one high up on the wall, making it awkward to charge phones and other devices.Housekeeping and general maintenance also appeared inconsistent. The information in the room stated that the floors would be cleaned daily, but this didn't appear to happen during our stay. A clump of hair (which wasn't ours) remained beside the bed for several days, along with marks on the floor that were only removed once the floor was eventually swept and mopped. Outside, weeds were growing between many of the paving stones, there was rubbish around the parking area, a piece of paper remained on the ground throughout our stay, and the ashtray outside contained litter that was never cleared. The pool area also lacked attention to detail. Sun loungers were often not straightened or put back into place, some tables remained dirty, and occasionally tables that had been knocked over were left that way. None of these issues alone would have spoiled our holiday, but together they gave the impression that routine maintenance and housekeeping were not receiving enough attention.We also found the hospitality disappointing. The website talks about "Every detail carefully considered" and the motto "Arrive as a guest, leave as a friend." Sadly, that wasn't our experience. The staff were polite enough, but we never experienced the warmth or friendliness that the hotel promotes.The €22 BBQ night was poor value for money and the food was disappointing. The pool bar food was also expensive for what appeared to be fairly basic frozen food.Despite our disappointment with the accommodation, we absolutely loved exploring Kefalonia. We highly recommend visiting Fiskardo, Assos, Myrtos Beach, Gradakia Beach, Emplisi Beach, Agios Thomas Beach, Sami, Porto Skala, Melissani Cave and Drogarati Cave. A snorkelling boat trip was also one of the highlights of our holiday.Metaxatos Apartments is in a fantastic location and has the potential to be much better. With investment in maintenance, greater attention to cleanliness and presentation, and a genuinely warmer approach to guests, it could be a place we would happily recommend. At the moment, however, it falls short of the standard its own website promises.

  Booked on booking.com £650for a 2 bedroom in august which is reasonable , you can book on the website .taxi was arranged by Christina and Paul 25 euro , girl was waiting so in resort on 10 mins.All the reviews regarding the hosts are so true , Christina and Paul so hospitable the ladie Katie was absolutely spot on with food and drinks as was Pedro .like always a pleasure never a chore.No probs with sunbeds , great base , plenty local restaurants within 10 mins , beach 5 minute walk 20 euro for 2 with a wee cafe there and you can swim in the sea no probs .great air con and for the first time for us no extra charge in Greece nor are there surprisingly any local taxes .you know the drill in Greece , no flushing toilet paper etc , apartments more basic but hard to find fault ,had a better signal on my phone than I do in Leith and WiFi worked well. We are wine drinkers so the 7.50!half carafe got smashed .5 euro a mythos and very decent cocktails in happy hour 4-7 .pool perfect and views from the apartment outstanding .the pictures of sunset are wonderful.highly recommend , we had my 84 year old mother in tow and altho there is some uneven ground she managed fine .they have worked hard on the complex and would highly recommend and I have been to a good few.

  Another wonderful stay at these delightful apartments. The owners, Christina and Paul are so welcoming, and the wonderful Katy behind the bar always makes you feel at home. The apartments have everything you need, comfortable beds, a great shower, along with free aircon and a safe, what more do you need. The pool area is spacious, and there’s always sunbeds to be had, no matter what time of day, no need for getting up at the crack of dawn to place your towels!! A 10 minute walk takes you to the centre of the strip, with all its wonderful bars and restaurants. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Lassi

  Well what can I say, the owners Christina and Paul all their staff especially Katy behind the bar, gave us the most wonderful time.My son and daughter in law booked their wedding there??. They couldn't do enough for everyone, just absolutely brilliant venue/apartments.Again thank you all for a fantastic wedding and holiday, hope to see you soon ?? ?? ?????????? x
