Lovely place to eat - but where's the Calamari?

Lovely place to eat but very disappointing that the Panas Restaurant no longer serves Calamari. This is outrageous as, in our experience, it's always been the mainstay of most Greek restaurants. This said our party of 15 had a very pleasant meal at Panas and the food was excellent, the service very good and the prices very reasonable. Absolutely amazing stay! The family owners and their staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. We have truly found our home away from home in this hotel and plan to return every year!

Super hotel with a touch of luxury

A boutique style hotel with recently renovated rooms and beautiful gardens and areas to enjoy. A superb restaurant overlooking the prettiest bay of Spartia. The pool and loungers are ideal. Everything has a luxurious feel to it. The staff are so friendly and treat you personally. The cocktails made by John were a treat and local dishes a delight. Don’t expect gimmicky Greece here. The Panas Hotel is a little bit of luxury to savour. We had a lovely experience and would love to go back. I would recommend hiring a car for day trips or taxis are easily arranged. It’s an uphill hike to the village, not for the faint hearted!

A slice of tranquil paradise

Wonderful wonderful hotel. Just returned after a second holiday spent at Panas Hotel. This hotel is perfect for a quiet and peaceful get away. The rooms are beautiful, immaculately clean every day, with stunning views, the pool is a slice of heaven, with sea, mountain and tree views, and a wonderful on site restaurant with fantastic Greece food which is so fresh. A beautiful beach is steps away, the water is calm and safe to swim in. If you want to hire a car, there is a large car park- however we do not and travelled around the island with a taxi sourced by the hotel. The jewel in the hotel though are the owners, Nana’s attention to detail, passion for her hotel and kindness ensure that every guest will have a wonderful experience- just as her!

Fantastic R&R week

We wanted a week of relaxation to reset the batteries and staying at Panas Hotel was a great spot to do that. Rooms were spotless, food in restaurant was excellent and the team were all very friendly and looked after us very well. Special mention to both John and Alexis. Location is in a beautiful cove with fantastic views and we enjoyed daily sea swims in crystal clear water and relaxing at the pool. Spartia village is about a 30 min walk away up some steep hills but a good early morning walk (and workout) before it got too hot. Would throughly recommend. THANK YOU so much to Nana and her team.
