  Where do I start? The room was spotless and well-appointed. The view from the balcony was as good as one can hope for in an island. By being perched somewhat high on a hill, you can see the beachfront from a distance, and across the body of water, you can see Lixouri.The manager was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. When we had an issue with our keys, she went out of her way to help us out.The ladies who cleaned our room were thoughtful, friendly, and efficient.The highlight of each day was the breakfast buffet. Chrysoula and Elka were putting to shame any breakfast buffet I have seen in my many years and destinations I travelled. Frankly, there was only one hotel I stayed several years ago, in Stuttgart, that had a richer buffet. I think that says a lot. Oh yes, and one day that there was a bigger crowd and we came down late for breakfast, the ladies apologized for the fact that the buffet was not to their standards. I honestly think there was still enough food for 30-50 people...

  Relaxing and peaceful

  Lovely apartments . So relaxing and peaceful with brilliant view. Apartments very clean and well kept. Staff so kind and helpful Big room (except bathroom) and very comfortable bedsHowever half way between argostoli and lassi so I would recommend a car or use kefalonia taxi company as we did. Roughly 10 euros to either resort. Taxi company very reliable

  Excellent Friendly base for our Kefalonia holiday

  Nestled on a hill overlooking the sea with the lighthouse in the distance. This was a superb way to start the day. Panorama Fanari is located aprox 5kmoutside of Agostoli not too far from Lassi. The grounds are very well maintained. We had a superior room with sea view. The only negative is the size of the bathroom, which was small. The bed was large & comfortable & a balcony that had a table & chairs outside. There is every you could need, including a large fridge, to keep the bottled water cold.There is plenty of variety on the breakfast menu,to satisfy most tastes, even a non meat eater such as myself. The staff are fantastic, warm & friendly. I would strongly advise car hire which can be arranged from the site. Taxis into Agostoli are between €8 to €10 depending on the time of day.Panarama fanari has a good-sized swimming pool with sun loungers.Thoroughly recommend this location to start your Kefalonia adventure. Stayed for 14 nights

  We didn’t go in June 24, we have stayed here & times over th3 years, such memories, we spent our honeymoon here, making a good friend of the original owner Jerry, then later with Jerry, Jenny and little Jerry. , we had some amazing times here and thanks to Jerry for being a good and funny friend, thanks to Makis who gave me a bottle of water when I came over to find out what was happening ( he must have thought me crazy turning up , middle of the day covered is sweat! We’re finally getting back to the island next year. Looking forward to walking back up the hill under the stars from town. Hope they have got rid of Jerrys automatic pool cleaner as you couldn’t go near when he was cleaning it.anyway, for those who know it’s a perfect place

  A relaxing and trouble free stay

  We've just returned from our Kefalonia holiday. We stayed at Panorama Fanari and had a brilliant time. The place is located in a pleasant remote area away from any hustle and bustle. The room we had, had a balcony at each end so we could get the sunrise and sunset. Also if we opened both sets of sliding doors we could get a pleasant airflow through the room. The room itself, was spacious and had everything we needed. It also had a small kitchenette with helpful items left in the cupboards. The shower room was a bit small but adequate and had a decent walk in shower with a sliding door. The main balcony view was superb with the hotel gardens immediate, over the road and down the hill was land with olive trees. We could see the whole area across to the sea and nearby lighthouse in the distance. The best bit was the view across the bay where all the ferries were constantly crossing and the odd cruise ship passing through. The sunset view every evening was the best I've experienced anywhere. The carpark had plenty of spaces and many in the shade. I noticed an electrical charging point. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds and a pleasant shower area. There was also a bar and seating area nearby which was staffed during daylight hours. The breakfast buffet was continental with plenty of variety. The staff were all friendly, helpful and spoke English. If there was anything we needed, they obliged. Also they were able to assist with car hire with a car arriving in the car park shortly after we enquired. The grounds were well kept and pleasant to walk around. There was a patio area with a large garden table and chairs and two comfortable swing seats in the shade of a large pear tree. We could have sat here all day watching the bay and all the bees and butterflies on the surrounding plants. There were several friendly cats who came to see us when we were walking in the grounds. The location was a little remote but not overly so. There are a few cove beaches within walking distance and the campsite Taverna. Argostoli was a pleasant 3km walk one way but shorter if you walk to the top of the hill, past the Italian memorial and down the other side. With a car you can get to Argostoli or Lassi in a few minutes. We had a lovely stay from not quite knowing what to expect on arrival.
