Beautiful place to stay in Fira!

    rating14 Nov 2025

There are only 5 villas. They are beautiful. Yourgis (George) was our reception and concierge. We love him. Eduardo was our porter and he delivered breakfast to our terrace each morning. He is amazing. We had a private hot tub. The location is perfect. There is so much in the area.

Lovely view but could be improved with small touches

    rating25 Jul 2025

The location of the hotel is excellent, in the centre of Fira with an absolute amazing view. We stayed in the Astrophelia suite which was a huge room and balcony although some of the furniture is a little shabby and due an update. There is a walk way through the balcony which means that the balcony and hot tub is not particularly private and you need to close the door of your room to avoid people from seeing inside but we were aware of this from reading reviews prior to booking. We also had noisy neighbours - screeching and singing loudly at 11pm which we could hear from inside our room. There is nothing that the hotel can do about this but if you are a light sleeper then you may wish to consider a less central location. George was very helpful and responded to WhatsApp promptly as well as assisting with our bag. The hotel website advertises sparkling wine on arrival and champagne breakfast as standard. We were not served a welcome drink and no champagne was served with breakfast. Although this wasn’t a huge issue, there are many hotels in Fira and for us this was one of the stand out details that helped inform our decision so we were disappointed that it wasn’t quite as we had envisaged. There was no complimentary water in the room, despite the hot weather and the fact that the tap water is undrinkable. There was a charge of 2.50 euros for the single bottle of water in the fridge, for the price we paid for the room we felt there should have at least been one bottle of water available on arrival without charge (and indeed the information booklet in the room suggested that there would be). The room did not include bathrobes and slippers, again despite the description on the website. This was annoying as we hadn’t packed pyjamas but was not the end of the world. In conclusion, the view from this hotel sells itself and the staff were super friendly but some small (and relatively inexpensive) touches would have improved our stay and the website should be updated in order to manage guest’s expectations.

    Amazing Amazing Amazing

    rating06 Jul 2025

My cousin and I did an overnight in Santorini from Crete and we lucked out with a discounted room at this hotel from Booking.com. I did a lot of research, wanting to stay in centrally located Fira so we could get to Oia easily. This hotel is easily walkable from the bus station and right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants, overlooking the Caldera. You can't have a better location, truly. Now it IS hard to find. I messaged the hotel in advance asking for walking directions, and all they said is it's 200m from the bus station. It took us 45 minutes to find it on the day of. Asking people did not help - there are HUNDREDS of small hotels in Fira. So here is what you do. Walk up the hill from the bus station to the big cathedral facing the water. Across from the cathedral is a restaurant called PK's - facing it, the little walkway down to Asteras is just next to it to the left. Asteras is the first little gate on the right. The service at Asteras was provided by George, who could not have been more courteous and helpful. We got there early, and he allowed us to leave our bags. We hopped the bus to Oia so we could see the blue domes. He WhatsApped us that our room was ready early and we came back. Trust me, you are going to want to spend time in your room because of the views this place has. We were there from about 3-9 p.m. to take advantage of the views and the incredible sunset Santorini is known for. We had the Astrophelia Suite, which had a small jacuzzi that was actually nice and cool and functioned more like.a pool. Very welcome because it was HOT out. Two nice loungers on a huge deck with expansive views of the Caldera - just could not have asked for more. There was also a huge covered patio and the room itself was just beautiful. The bathroom was lovely, with high quality bath products and fluffy towels. The air conditioning was not working all that great when we were there but the temperature was tolerable - it was just not full air conditioning. We wanted drinks and although the hotel has no room service, George arranged for the restaurant next door to bring drinks to us and I just paid them directly - truly over and above, as we were already in our bathing suits and didn't want to leave. Very comfortable night's sleep in the HUGE bed with a proper duvet (this is important to me). Upon arrival we were asked to choose what we wanted for breakfast (included in the cost of the room). George made us laugh with his recommendations - he was like, ok, you want this, you want that - and he made excellent choices, we loved them. Breakfast was delivered at a specified time to our deck overlooking the Caldera - it was huge and delicious and we stuffed ourselves. There were many Greek specialties included, as well as fresh fruit, bread, cheese... Probably the most memorable breakfast I've ever had thanks to the view. Can't tell you how gorgeous it is here. We took beautiful photos and made the most of our cousin/girls time together. Also, the view at night is beautiful as well. The cliffside is all lit up in different colors and you can hear music from the various bars and discos. It's unlike anything I've ever seen before. Because the bedroom itself is literally built into the cliff, we heard no noise once we went inside, so no worries about the music. It was perfectly quiet. Again, this location couldn't have been any better - you can walk everywhere. Only regret was not staying longer so we could have explored Santorini more and stayed longer at this beautiful hotel. If I am ever fortunate enough to get back to Santorini (I'm American, this is a very long trip for me!), I would absolutely choose this hotel again. My cousin and I want to thank Asteras Villas for the absolutely perfect stay. Trip of a lifetime and I hope we can return one day. Thank you George and staff for your hard work making sure we made such fantastic memories!

A Dream Stay at Asteras Villas - Perfect Santorini Getaway

    rating02 Feb 2025

We absolutely loved our stay at Asteras Villas in Santorini! The La Luna Suite was a dream—spacious, beautifully designed, and the views were absolutely incredible. The private hot tub was such a nice touch, offering the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.Breakfast was amazing, made to order every day, and we couldn't get enough of it. The staff was truly fantastic—always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and happy. They went above and beyond, even helping us arrange the rental of a quad, which was a highlight of our trip and so much fun. They also provided us with a list of restaurants open during the off-season, which was really helpful, although we went intentionally during the off-season and loved every minute of it.The hotel is in a great location, offering a balance of privacy and safety, while still being close to everything Santorini has to offer.Overall, we had an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend Asteras Villas to anyone visiting Santorini. The combination of stunning views, excellent service, and a perfect location made it a truly special getaway!

Unrivaled view of the caldera from the balcony

    rating24 Jan 2025

Stayed here for 3nights/4days adventure in Santorini for our birthday last December. The hotel is situated on the cliff and we had the best view of the caldera! The staff was so accommodating, esp. the receptionist, she gives us information about restaurants that are open and parking area near to the hotel. The daily breakfast is delicious and sumptuous with a lot of choices. The hotel even gave us a welcome champagne on our first night. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.
