Enjoyed another stay at the Alley Hotel. Staff very pleasant, especially Lilia on Reception.Everywhere very clean. Good choice of food at breakfast.

At first we were highly delighted with the hotel and our two bedroom suite room 101. Staff were lovely too.Then on our second night, a Thursday, we were woken and kept awake until 3am by Loud music (we had windows closed) and then ongoing revelling in the street until around 4am. The music came from a nightclub adjacent to the hotel. It is a snack bar in the day and nightclub at night. Open until 3am every day. We complained to night staff who were aware of the problem but was unable to resolve issues. This occurred again on various nights. Resulting in us phoning the Jet2 helpline a number of times following each occasion. The staff were very sympathetic, relocated us but it was in the same block so no improvement. Jet2 could not find anywhere to relocate us either. In the end we had to call and ask for an early flight cutting out holiday short by three days which was very disappointing. We came home shattered.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Argostoli. We paid extra for the loft suite, which was light and spacious, with good views of the city and the sea. I hadn't realised until a couple of weeks before that there was no swimming pool (my mistake), however a short taxi ride away is their sister hotel, which you are allowed to go and use their swimming pool facilities and sun lounges, which considering that this hotel is a 5 star adult only resort was a bonus, without the price tag. The staff at both hotels was fabulous and friendly. If I was to critique one thing, the breakfasts had some strange items such as broccoli and runner beans, but then again what do i know! Highly recommend

Wonderful Hotel. Upon booking this hotel there was a lot of mixed reviews some good some bad. We were really skeptical about staying here based on what we had read on some of the reviews. I can confirm based off my experience this hotel is totally worth it! The two ladies that checked us in were very informative, helpful, polite and even went above and beyond on our last day doing everything they could to accommodate a later checkout. Our room exceed expectations. We stayed in a deluxe loft suite on the top floor. Air con worked great the bed was really comfortable, the room was very clean and bright and had been recently renovated and the bathroom was gorgeous. The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning. We had a full view of argostoli and half a view of the harbour. The breakfast was also very good. I would recommend going down at 8am when it starts so you get it hot! There is a big selection to choose from. The location is very very good, literally just off the main square, the turtles to the front of the hotel and all the restaurants and shops to the rear of the hotel. We hired a car and some days struggled to park but always found a space in the end. Other days there were spaces right outside the hotel it really is hit and miss. If you are going out in the car late afternoon/night. You may find yourself parking a 5-10 minute walk away from the hotel. Overall, we would definitely stay at the hotel again and recommend it to anybody going to Kefalonia, do not be put off by some of the reviews. (The bad ones are extremely over exaggerated! In our opinion)

What a great team!

True, not every bedroom comes with a glorious view. Mine faced a concrete wall! But it was well appointed with the best Greek mattress I have ever slept on. There is no lift to the first floor, which was a pain for me, with age and disabilities. I have to say here that the staff team was amazing. Dealt with my luggage like professionals. Not patronising or demeaning to me in any way. I managed the stairs and took my own time. The building appears to have served a range of functions. It has been tastefully renovated. Breakfast was great! Plenty of choices . Staff asked people if they wanted more, before service ended. The single room did not have a balcony, nor would it have been practical to build one. I will return for the staff alone. It’s not easy to travel alone with disability, and I was treated with respect and dignity! That alone makes the Alley experience priceless!
