  This is a 10 out 10. From the moment my husband and I arrived we felt very welcomed. The owners and staff are very friendly. The establishment is clean and well maintained. This is a beautiful place to come and relax and take in in the island

  We have a lovely ten days at this hotel. Spotlessly clean, lovely pool, plenty of ramp walks to get to pool. The lads at the bar do a great job and snacks lunches were excellent. My only criticism would be the breakfast, same thing everyday, fried eggs, bacon, sausage and beans, why not boiled or scrambled for a change. Fresh water melon or melon if you get in early, otherwise it's tinned. Yogurt fantastic, a toaster that actually toasts. Helen is a great assistant at breakfast. Would we stay again yes. Everyone very friendly and many returners. Katelios seafront is quite a walk if you have mobility issues, but was able to hire a mobility scooter from Venus across the road. Excellent restaurants and the closest Persas was superb.

  THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! We absolutely loved it ??I read the negative reviews just before we left for our two-week stay at the Magnolia and, I’ll be honest, they did leave me with a couple of doubts. Having now stayed here for two weeks, I genuinely don’t know what some people find to moan about!We had stayed in the area a couple of years ago and had often walked past the Magnolia. What always stood out to us was how peaceful and tranquil it looked, so when we were looking for somewhere to stay this time, we read the reviews and booked it.And we’re SO glad we did.The area:It is very quiet, that’s exactly what the Magnolia is all about. It doesn’t pretend to be somewhere it isn’t. If you’re looking for a tranquil, relaxing holiday where you can properly switch off, read a book, lie by the pool and enjoy traditional Greek tavernas, then this is absolutely perfect.The hotel:We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our entire stay. It’s family owned and family run, and every member of the family we met was genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming.The whole hotel is immaculate and incredibly well maintained. Everywhere was spotless , the rooms, pool area and communal areas. You can tell there is a real pride in the hotel and in looking after their guests.Our room:We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. From the photographs, we expected it to be much smaller, but it really wasn’t. Of course, they’re not enormous rooms, but there was more than enough space for all our clothes, shoes and toiletries and we never once felt cramped or crowded.The air conditioning worked brilliantly, which was very welcome in the Greek heat!Our room was cleaned every day and was absolutely spotless. The hotel states that towels and bedding are changed every three days, but ours were definitely changed more frequently during our stay.Breakfast:Breakfast was more than sufficient to set you up for the day. There was fresh fruit, tinned fruit and always lovely freshly chopped melon, Greek yoghurt, honey, jam, toast, cakes/pastries, some cooked options, tea, coffee, juices and water.We didn’t personally have the cooked breakfast as there was already plenty for us to choose from, but we thought the selection was absolutely fine.The pool:The pool area was one of our favourite things. The pool itself is spacious and there is loads of room around it. Even when all the sunbeds were occupied, it never felt crowded.The bar opens at 11am and I’m not sure what time it closes because we were always back at our room by around 9.30pm! ??Again, the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming.Location:There’s a supermarket literally around the corner and a bakery not far away. It’s around a 15-minute stroll down to the seafront, where you’ll find the tavernas, and we really enjoyed them. The sea is also lovely for swimming.If you want peace, relaxation, traditional Greek food, a beautiful pool, friendly people and somewhere you can genuinely switch off, then I honestly couldn’t recommend the Magnolia enough.The quietness around the pool isn’t because there’s anything wrong with it, it’s because that’s exactly why people come here. Everyone is relaxing, reading, swimming and enjoying the peace.The owners have created a beautiful little hotel and you can really feel the care and pride they have put into it.A proper little gem. ??Thank you to the whole team at Magnolia for making our two-week stay so lovely. We would absolutely return.

  Perfect! We’re home after 2 weeks at Magnolia Resort and I must say we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrive we were greeted by kind friendly owners and staff. Walking through the pool area to our rooms you were hit by the tranquility of it all. The staff take you and your cases to your room and explain everything to you. We stayed in a premium room which had lovely high vaulted ceilings. The view from the balcony was of the surrounding country side. In the room was a welcome card and a couple of bottles of local white wine plus a couple of bottles of water. Every morning we were greeted at breakfast by Helen. Who always had a smile on her face was cheerful, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our maid was lovely; sorry but I didn’t get her name but we did stay in room 109; she too was always happy and left some beautiful towel decorations on the bed. Next the daytime bar staff Chris and Panos. Again always full of smiles and chat. Nothing was too much trouble. You ordered your drinks and they brought them to you whether you were sitting around the pool or in the bar area. Lunches ordered and served at the bar were delicious. In the evening there was George serving behind the bar always happy to help. The owners sat outside by reception and greeted you every morning and evening with smiles. I know there were other staff members working behind the sense and about the hotel but we did not have much contact with them. However when you saw them they always smiled and said hello. Be aware if you’re coming for the part vibe then you’re at the wrong hotel. This is a very relaxing and peaceful place. Upon arrival we were given pool towels. should you wish to exchange them there was a 5 Euro fee for the two. As we checked out we were given a small parting gift from the owners which was very kind and thought full of them. I won’t tell you what we got as I don’t want to spoil it for you. Many of the guests we spoke to were return visitors; what does that say about this hotel.?! In the evenings we strolled down the hill to the town where there were around 12 Tavernas offering fantastic food and amazing location on the sea front. We’re hoping to return here in the future.

  Fantastic stay at the Magnolia resort

  Just back from a fantastic week at this hotel From start to finish was a relaxing peaceful holiday the rooms are great the air-conditioning was brilliant and the shutters on the patio door were amazing because it meant you have complete blackout when you were sleeping.Pool area was lovely you didn’t need to reserve a sunbed but I like to be in the same place so I did that but it was not a problem. Breakfast was nice The snack bar had a really good menu homemade burgers were great and all the items are not very expensive great to share The walk to town only took about 10 minutes it’s quite a nice little walk all the restaurants along the front are really nice. Had some lovely food first time in Greece so we tried all the Greek food was amazing. All of the hotel staff are really friendly, especially the bar staff and the lunch staff always made us feel really welcome. Hotel never felt like it was really busy so it was always really peaceful. The pool was a good size which meant i got to do lots of lengths which was great. Was a great touch when we checked out we got a gift from the owner so that was really nice. Definitely will coming back was a lovely lovely hotel.
