    Great location and customer friendly budget 3 star hotel

    Just had a great week at the kris Mari. Its position in kardamena is a definite winner everything close by. For a 3 star hotel it has all you need without blowing your budget. The rooms are a little tired and dated but totally functional. The hubby found the mattress too hard but a quick visit to reception and a mattress topper was placed on the bed when we returned. One evening returning late the lights in the corridor were not working making it hard to see the lock to open the door. Again a chat with reception and this was fixed the same day. The breakfast is just as advertised toast, fruit, cereal, preserves, meat. Cheese and as much juice and hot beverages as you like. The pool was lovely and seemed clean with no issues and always plenty of free comfy sun beds. Poolside bar and meals really tasty and great value and a lovely barman. And not to forget all the staff, they were so friendly and polite and it made our stay at the Kris Mari a pleasure. Definite recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a no frills but just a good honest base to explore the beautiful island of Kos.

    Having stayed in hotels all over the world I can not speak highly enough of the staff and the service at this hotel.It is the pearl of the Agean. The breakfasts are healthy and nutritious an the breakfast manager ensures everyone is catered for. The rooms are spotless and are serviced every day in a professional way. The hotel is near the beach and there is a very good bar called Pavlos which is excellent value keeping people entertained the whole evening. The staff always go that extra mile so the guests enjoy their stay.I speak especially highly of Samuel Andy and Danny who make everyone feel like a VIP in the bar.The reception is run with the efficiency of Parisin concierge.

    The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel needs updating very clean and tidy.Breakfast times need to be longer up to 10.30 am being on holiday you don’t always want to get up and have breakfast by 9.30 am, the breakfast is basic, they do not accommodate allergies you have to bring your own.Say they are a 3 star hotel more of a 2 star stayed in 3 stars before had air conditioning and room safe plus toiletries included, none of these included here.

    I honestly don’t understand all the bad reviews. My husband and I are just back from a 2 week stay and already looking at returning. Yes, there is extra charges for air-con, safety deposit box and the tax but these are not hidden charges and are pretty common in Greece. The room was clean, cleaned every day and regular clean towels ect.The staff are all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you,The poolside snack bar is great value for money and the food is good. We didn’t use the Alma restaurant, but from what I could see the food looked good and served at a reasonable price. The sunbeds at the pool are comfortable. Yes, you always got one or 2 people who reserved sunbeds but we always managed to get sunbeds without any issues and no need to be up early to reserve them. The hotel itself is in a great location, it’s close to the beach bars ect, and a short walk to the beach front restaurants. Overall a great stay and looking forward to returning in the future.

    Suprised to be bombarded with extra costs on arrival Tourist tax 50€ and must be cashAir con and safe both extra charges amounting to over 100€ Left a feeling of being ripped offRoom nice and clean basic though , a fridge which surprisingly was on at no extra cost No kettle - again extra charge of 15€ per weekTowels tinyPool in need of good clean - hazy water and floor very slippy and greasy … so not very inviting Breakfast again very basic but nice and fresh produce only served till 930 which is a bit early for usNot worthy of the 3 star rating
