  Amazing stay - 10/10 all round

  My partner and I stayed here for 5 days and we had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. We were greeted by the lovely Lena who was incredibly welcoming and professional. Our room was gorgeous - incredibly clean and very comfy. All staff we encountered were so friendly, especially the entertainment girls run by the amazing Dominika. Thank you so much to all the staff who made our stay so great, before we left we were already planning our return!   This is our fourth visit to this lovely hotel

  This is our fourth visit to this lovely hotel and no doubt it won't be our last! Our room was great with a view over the sea to Türkiye. All the staff were very friendly and the animation team did an excellent job. A big shout out to the gentleman who serves the coffees and drinks in the reception bar - we enjoyed our chats and to the lady who works in the boutique at the hotel. The beach area had been done up since our last visit but bring sea shoes if you are planning on going swimming in the sea. We hired bikes via the reception and went into Kos town on the bus. The bus is never on time but it costs 9 euro in a taxi.   We thank Anastasia from the towel station for her smile and genuinely respectful attitude towards each guest. She created a positive atmosphere that set the tone for the entire day. The towels were clean and neatly folded. She also teaches yoga; we’ll be back at Pelagos for her yoga classes.   Lovely hotel and staff, but the food is a major letdown

  The hotel itself is lovely, bright, modern, and spotlessly clean throughout. My wife and I particularly enjoyed the adults only pool. Our Junior Suite was also exactly as advertised; having the fridge and daily water refills was a nice touch, though the experience was slightly marred by the extremely uncomfortable seating on the balcony.The standout feature of this hotel is the staff. Every team member we encountered was extremely pleasant, helpful, and a total credit to the establishment.Unfortunately, the stay was significantly let down by the buffet. The food was incredibly boring and repetitive, by day three, we were tired of seeing the same options for lunch and dinner. Most dishes weren't labeled, making it a guessing game as to what was being served, and the food was consistently cold by the time we sat down. The quality was so poor that we actually ended up eating out for three nights of our stay just to get a decent, hot meal.The pre pouring of drinks and leaving them on the bar for waiting staff to pick up seemed odd in a not particularly busy hotel. It left the soft drinks to go flat by the time you got one.All in all, while the hotel and staff are wonderful, the food options are a massive disappointment and really impacted our overall experience.   Stunning resort with amazing staff, but food lets it downWe recently stayed at Pelagos Suites Hotel & Spa and had a really mixed experience.First, the positives. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — modern, well-maintained and striking in every detail. The grounds are immaculate and the whole place feels premium the moment you arrive. There are several pools: the main pool with the main bar and a lively atmosphere, a lovely adults-only pool area with an excellent bar, and another quieter pool on the west side of the property. In May, the pools were quite cold, but fine for a quick dip. Sunbeds were never an issue at this time of year.There’s also a charming small Greek Orthodox church on site, plus a mini supermarket and clothes shop which were nice touches. The rooms are wonderful — we had a deluxe room with a sunbed on the balcony and it was modern, spacious and spotless. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily and the whole resort is very accessible, with ramps everywhere for prams and wheelchairs.The staff across the resort deserve special mention. Every single person we encountered was friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for you.However, for a 5-star hotel, this is where the experience starts to fall short.The biggest issue: the main restaurantWhile the food quality itself is decent, the selection is extremely limited and repetitive. By day four we were already bored of the lunch and dinner options as they barely changed. There were also no signs explaining what dishes were, which sometimes meant you didn’t know what you were eating.The hotel has two speciality restaurants — Mediterranean and Italian — and both were excellent. We preferred the Mediterranean restaurant and were pleasantly surprised given some older reviews said it wasn’t great. Clearly something has changed because we found it superb.We also ended up eating out a couple of nights at Taverna Meltemia, just a 2-minute walk away, and honestly the food, atmosphere and service there were fantastic. A lovely family-run taverna that we highly recommend.All-inclusive frustrationsThe drinks menu is extensive, but not everything is included — some drinks are chargeable, which feels disappointing for an all-inclusive resort. The cabanas are another issue. They cost €15–€50 depending on which one you choose. Early in our stay they were empty, but once the hotel got busier and sunbeds filled up, guests effectively had to pay if they wanted a poolside spot. This didn’t feel right for a 5-star all-inclusive experience.Location & eveningsThe hotel is quite remote. It’s around a 35–40 minute walk into Kos town. Evening entertainment was just OK and felt more geared towards children. The animation team worked hard and put in lots of effort, but evenings were a bit of a struggle for us.OverallWe did enjoy our stay and the resort itself is beautiful, but the repetitive food in the main restaurant and the extra charges mean this simply doesn’t feel like a true 5-star all-inclusive experience.Would we return?
