Excellent value accommodation in a very convenient location

This is a review for Sevi Sun 1, the older of the two blocks. Sevi Sun 2 is across the road and is the one with the pool. For what I paid, I thought it was extremely good value. €30 a night in early September, including very efficient (and almost new) airconditioning, for a studio twice as big as some I've been in. The balcony was also very big with some nice views across to the pool, and inland to the mountains. The family are very friendly, the pool is great and little-used. The studio was clean when I arrived and the cleaning service was excellent. Wifi was a bit patchy in my room but better by the pool - there are 2 separate hubs for the 2 buildings. Equipment was adequate, all the essentials, 2 of everything, kettle and hob, and a tall fridge with a separate freezer compartment. Water was very hot night and day, and the water pressure was excellent. The only downside is that the studios and bathrooms are a bit dated, as you can clearly see from the photos. But as long as that doesn't worry you, then go for it. I wanted somewhere with a pool and aircon near the centre of town, and on paper this looked like the best option - I wasn't disappointed, and I would happily stay here again.

Lovely family hotel we felled like at home , the room was clean every day , 10 min from old city and beach , a lot of restaurants and markets around .The swimming pool very clean. The owners Mr Panayuti and his wife Sevi are very nice and generous . The most important person and very helpful is Irene the owner's daughter. If we go back to Kos again sure we will saty in Sevi Sun I .

I thought the only other reviewer of this hotel was a bit harsh in awarding this hotel one star. I have doubled it to two stars but like her I cannot really recommend this hotel as a stay in Kos. She also mentioned animals in cages, this I did not come across.I booked this hotel on booking.com but had difficulty locating this hotel. When I tried to ring for directions they had failed to put the reception phone through to one of their staff. So nobody was answering. Eventually the owners of another hotel gave me directions.I note on booking.com this hotel has a few reasonable reviews. How? I have to put the question as to who writes these reviews? There experience was obviously different to mine. I found my experience with the staff here not dissimilar to watching an episode of Fawlty Towers. The owners have a U.S. background so understanding English was not an issue. I relocated after 2 days as my sense of humour had expired. The positives, the pool was excellent.....the room I had was really a self contained studio with a fridge and utensils rather than a hotel room so it was spacious. The negatives, the wifi was crap even in the reception area. My room had holes in the walls with electrical wiring protruding out, the room was not really clean when I moved in, the difficulty of staff in grasping what the concept of hospitality and service was,I mentioned earlier this hotel has a few reasonable reviews on booking.com.....I do not share those sentiments.
