    I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The food was also delicious and of good quality. Overall, everything was excellent and I am very satisfied.     The hotel is dirty, bad positioned and personnel is unprofessional.It took too long to check in.In the lobby my colleagues spotted mouse traps…For two consecutive days I found a message hanging on my door stating that for a conscious decision I prefer my room not to be cleaned… pity that it wasn’t hang by me… it was certainly the cleaning personnel who did that to reduce their workload. When I told this story at the reception many other clients started screaming that same happened to them, too. The additional problem is that personnel at the reception did not say anything… nor apologised for such a behaviour. I often stay at NH Hotels and like the brand, the following week I stayed at NH Helsinki and it is a beautiful hotel. NH Dusseldorf is a shame! It is part of our company-wide sustainability concept called “The Choice is Yours.” This initiative allows our guests to consciously decide whether or not they would like their room to be cleaned on a daily basis.If we do not receive a request for room cleaning within the first three nights of the stay, the room is automatically serviced from the fourth night onwards. The door hanger is intended solely to inform guests of this policy. We sincerely apologize that this was not clear to you — despite the information displayed on the door, the notices in the elevators, and the explanation given during check-in. In your case, we clearly failed to communicate this in a way that felt transparent and guest‑oriented.We are equally concerned to learn that you did not feel listened to at the reception desk and that no immediate apology was offered.
