Location

The property is located at the heart of Tigaki, which is surrounded by restaurants, souvenir shops and travel agencies. It is within walking distance of the sandy beach (200 m). Guests have a choice of 26 apartments, 8 studios, 8 single rooms and 26 double rooms located in a 2-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. Lovely rooms shame about the food.

This hotel is a little confusing because the rooms and the staff are all very good. Unfortunately the food is absolutely terrible and probably the worst we’ve encountered and also the drinks are awful on the all inclusive-in fact it’s only the beer that’s any good. We ate out most nights and the restaurants close by are all pretty decent.If this hotel was room only or BB we would definitely return.

Had a very relaxed holiday here the last week in October ( end of season) The guys in the restaurant were brilliant especially Minko and Azad. We had a room with private pool which had the sun most of the day( pool was cold , but still usable , but it was end of October) Rooms always kept clean with fresh towels every day. Hotel a short walk to beach , salt lakes and bars (would recommend Memories Cocktail bar) Would recommend if you want a nice quiet hotel. Would definitely revisit. Nb nothing to do with hotel(The only thing I would do is visit earlier in season as a lot of resort shutting down )

The service crew is excellent, especially Minko from Bulgaria, he was very helpful and friendly. Other people from the team were also very pleasant and professional.I had a great time!

The rooms are nice and clean, the cleaning team is very helpful and is simply doing their job. The food is very good, the waiters are very nice with a friendly attitude, especially Minko, who apparently really likes his job. The hotel is located close to the beach (400m) close to the Pink Salt Lake with flamingos, sand very close to the city center.Horse riding opportunities, easy to get to Kos city by bus.

We Came to the Sunshine Hotel at the end of September, for 2 weeks.The Sunshine Hotel was such a lovely Hotel. The staff from the time we arrived until the time we left were always very polite, courteous and friendly and couldn't do enough for you . The Hotel was always absolutely spotless, and our rooms were cleaned every day, including clean towels every day.We were staying on an All Inclusive package. The food in the restaurant was of a good standard, always very tasty, a good choice of food, and well cooked.The salad bar always had a good choice of salads .My only fault I could find with the food was there wasn't much choice of fruit, and the food could of been little warmer. Having said that we always found plenty to eat and the food was always enjoyable. Also a brilliant toaster at breakfast, which was very quick and made excellent toast! There was also ice cream available between 12pm- 4pm , which was served at the bar every day.There was also cakes in the afternoon .There was always plenty of sunbeds available during the day, and you could book a deluxe sunbed right by the pool , which was bookable through reception for a cost of 10 Euros for the day. We booked these 4 times during our stay, as they were so comfy and well worth 10 euros for a day.We had a junior suite , with a double balcony which overlooked the pool, and had the sun in the afternoon.The bar service was quite good , and the staff that worked behind the bar were always very polite and friendly. Although the drinks that were available for AI was a little limited. We stuck mostly to beer and wine. If we wanted anything else we would go out to another bar in the evening.We did go out to eat a few times. The hotel is very well situated. About 5 minutes walk from Tingaki town. Where there was lots of shops ,restaurants and bars.There was a beautiful sandy beach literally 10 minutes walk away, which we also went to for days out.We didn't go on any trips at all, apart from visiting Kos Town a couple of times on the local buses. Kos Town is around about 20 minutes away on the bus.We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary while we were there. The staff were lovely and arranged to have our bed decorated, with balloons, heart shaped towels and rose petals. This was such a lovely touch, and made our Anniversary even more special and memorable.Thank you for all the staff at The Sunshine Hotel for such a lovely holiday.
