Location

This hotel is located close to the seafront and is ideal for relaxing walks along the harbour. The town centre of Nydri is just 200 m away and offers a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs as well as nightspots. The area is relatively touristy thanks to Nydri beach with its extraordinary green-blue waters, which lies just a 10-minute walk away. It is 17 km to Lefkas.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 3 single rooms and 40 double rooms located in two 2-storey buildings. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. To ensure guests a comfortable and relaxing stay, the hotel provides various services and facilities, including a baggage storage service, a safe, a currency exchange service, a car hire service, room service, a fax machine and a coin-operated laundry. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony or terrace is among the standard amenities of some rooms. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the double bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. The hotel has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee). A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. Leisure activities and facilities at the hotel include cycling/mountain biking, a gym and a spa or, for a fee, a solarium. Children are well looked after in the kids' club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Bed and breakfast can be booked. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day.

Saved our holiday!

We were staying at Yiannis Hotel down the road but owner is rude and aggressive and not a nice man! We came to this hotel to ask if we could use the pool and sunbeds as we were too scared to use Yiannis Ava who works behind the bar at the Athos and the owners were so welcoming and friendly the pool was lovely and clean and fresh, plenty of room to move sunbeds around without the fear of getting them kicked back into line! Thank god this hotel was close! Food and drinks nice too!

What a fabulous hotel to stay. Right on the harbour front! Effie is amazing, ensuring we were happy with everything and fulfilling a request we had for a specific room. Effie is always there if you need anything and lovely to have little chats to. We are so happy with our choice. We have visited the hotel now 4 times and each time it fills our hearts with joy. We adore Nidri as a place and the hotel is right next to supermarkets, cash machines, plenty of choices of Restaurants etc. (boutiques for those who love a shop) gift shops, the list goes on. It has everything you could need at the hotel with a beautiful pool and bar area. It also has everything close by. The breakfast at the hotel is great and you have a choice of cooked breakfast or yoghurt and honey (my favourite) fabulous coffee with choice of sweet cake and fruit selection, Eva is on the ball keeping your breakfast area cleared and serving you cold drinks or coffees through the day. Rooms are kept so clean by lovely Meena. It’s a joy to be here. We would highly recommend a stay. Our hearts are full. Thank you Effie and Staff xx ❤️

What an amazing place to stay, so clean and run by an amazing family.Right on the sea, super pool.Effie and hey boys run this so well.Stayed a few times and the pool area is so relaxed, the pool is easy to get into and just a short walk from the town.

The Athos is the best!

We have been coming to the Athos since 2001! Except for the times we decided to stay at the Delphini which is in the op direction! Both hotels are 2 star and the bathrooms as basic as you can get but also functional!We returned to the Athos a few years ago because we like to book a package holiday with EasyJet as the flights transfers hotel & bfast are included in the cost and the Athos is EasyJet only hotel in the resort!The Athos has a lovely fresh water pool and views across the bay. It's a friendly hotel and Dimitri (I may have the spelling of his name wrong) on the front desk is a lovely helpful chap!Although some rooms are situated a long walk from the main hub of tge hitel we are generally happy with what we are allocated. Last year we struck gold and were given a lovely room with a view over the pool and of over the islands beyond.Fingers crossed we get lucky again as that room on the front made our stay at the Athos the best ever!

The small issues here are well documented.Yes the shower curtain sticks to you and the shower can alternately scald and freeze you.Rooms were fine, air con great, balcony on the small side though.Spotless everywhere,Breakfast is limited but plentiful.Disappointing that with a bakery almost next door, most of the bread is out of a packet.Pool are is a little cramped and we had only 1 day where we had there was a lack of sunbeds. We put this down to the hotel owning the pontoons opposite.Those that rent them can use the hotel facilities.Yannis in the pool bar as quite a character, ask him for a small beer and have a chat.Nick, the mixologist, at the pool bar is a star. Great conversation and yes the best long island ice tea, have three, see what I mean!Overall, a very peasant stay, a very good 2 star hotel but not worthy of 3.
