A gem in Lefkas

A small ,spotlessly clean hotel . Rooms are spacious with a modern bathroom with a good shower . Rooms are cleaned every day . Towels are changed daily and toiletries replaced every day . We were at the back of the hotel and our balcony was lovely and quiet with views of the mountains . Breakfast was perfect for us . Mostly continental with lots of meat ,cheese , yogurt, fruit and pastries . Everything was well presented and the staff very helpful . We loved the position in the small town of Nikiana but would advise hiring a car as the choice of tavernas is very limited . Only about 4 in walking distance . The roads are quiet and easy to drive on and we enjoyed exploring the island . I would definitely recommend the hotel Eleana . Quiet , spacious rooms , spotlessly clean and lovely staff .

Lovely hotel, great location but disappointing breakfast

The staff at the hotel, especially Eleana, the owners daughter, were fantastic very friendly and helpful. In our room kitchenette our frying pan needed replacing and they went out and bought us a good new one straight away! As it was August parking was very busy but they let me park right next to the hotel in the owners parking space. The beds were really comfortable with 2 separate air conditioning units one for upstairs and one for downstairs, (we had a duplex apartment). The swimming pool area was always very clean and great for families or just to relax. The location of the hotel is superb, only 2 minutes from the port of Nikiana and close to cafes and restaurants etc but set back form the main road so no noise from there.The main area of improvement that this hotel has to focus on is the breakfast which was included in our booking. It really is not up to standard compared to the rest of the hotel and it lets it down badly. I heard other guests complaining to themselves about this so it was not just our family that struggled to like anything. The fried eggs were literally cooked to bullets, so forget about sunny side up! Everything was the cheapest quality, even the coffee was insipid and almost undrinkable. The juices were just fruit sugar solutions and there was mainly a lot of very sweet (cheap) small cakes for breakfast. The cheese was packet sliced "Gouda" that tasted like rubber and the small squares of white "feta" on offer puts shame to its name. This is such a disappointment and let down for an otherwise lovely hotel. If you can book without breakfast I would strongly recommend that.There is no main beach with sand all are with pebbles, the best one locally being nearly 1 km away with limited sunbeds, so get there early. However the seawater is beautifully clear and clean with a multitude of fish swimming around.

Brillant start to the holiday

First visit here and I don't think it will be the last. Well priced and friendly staff make this the perfect place to have a relaxing time. It is a small hotel and has a very friendly feel to it. I would stay here instead of Lefkada as it is well worth the short trip to Nikiana. Breakfast good, staff great and rooms all you need.

Just back from 7 days at Hotel Eleana, the location is good for the resort, a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and your at the hub of the resort. It's only a 40 minute transfer from the airport, which is a brilliant wee place.The Hotel itself is nice with a decent size swimming pool, it has a pool bar , but drinks and ice cream only if you want hot snacks you had to pop out to a local cafe. The breakfast was average, most people will find something they like.The room that we had 117 was beautiful it was spacious and had everything you needed and the cleaners worked so hard to keep it spotless.There are a couple of things that could be improved on. If you have a late check out and you can't keep your room on because the hotel was full (it wasn't) your option for showering is the communal WC downstairs in the basement, it has a locked door but very basic. We also felt the Hotel lacked a little personal touch, not the greatest interaction from the owners.There is significant building work on both sides of the hotel which can be extremely noisy with drills, grinder's and hammering going on with lorries up and down the road.Overall I really enjoyed this Hotel /Apartments I really feel for the owners as they can't control what's going on outside their property.If you want really nice accommodation in a lovely wee village ( Nikiana) I recommend this place

Just returned from our holiday, this was the first time stay for us at this hotel, I can not recommend this hotel enough, all the staff are so helpful, the room was amazing, cleaned everyday day by a wonderful lady, breakfast had various choices, the location is ideal, the beach is a short walk away, plenty of restaurants within a short walk as well as minimarkets. I have already booked for next year and I am counting down.
