  I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Sofia in Lefkada! The hotel is in an ideal location – quiet and relaxing, yet close to everything you need. The highlight for me was the breathtaking view from the balcony: endless blue sea during the day and unforgettable sunrises in the morning. Everything was spotlessly clean and well taken care of, which made the stay even more comfortable. The hospitality of the owners truly made the difference – they are so kind, warm, and genuinely friendly, making you feel like you’re at home from the very first moment. 💙The breakfast was a lovely experience too – fresh, tasty, and with options that give you the perfect start to the day. And if you’re lucky enough, you might even get to taste their delicious local handmade desserts, which were an absolute treat! The outside of the hotel is just as charming – the flowers around the property are so well taken care of, adding color and fragrance, while the traditional stairs leading up to the rooms give the whole place a unique and authentic beauty. There’s also easy parking which is super convenient, and I loved being able to just sit on the balcony, enjoy the calmness, and soak in the stunning scenery.If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Lefkada with amazing views, true Greek hospitality, and great comfort, I can’t recommend Hotel Sofia enough!

  Upon checking in, the receptionist demanded from us, as its hotel policy that we pay €31 for any damages to the room, which will be refunded upon checking out. When checking out, the hotel owner refunded us back €20. When questioned he stated that the €11 was for the tax. Although booked the hotel via Expedia and all taxes are included in the booking price, it’s the principle of being mugged off, not that €11 will scratch by bank balance. The buffet breakfast is basic/average. Parking spaces are limited at the front of the hotel. The rooms do not offer your basic tea/coffee/sugar sachets. The shower facility in the room is so tinny, and the shower curtain is inadequate. After a squeezable shower, the bathroom becomes a swimming pool. But on a positive side the staff and hotel owner are very helpful and friendly!   Hotel Sofia in Nikiana, Lefkada has by far exceeded my expectations. Although it only has 2 stars, I believe it deserves 3 stars because of the amenities provided. The room was very clean and comfortable (it has a fridge, hair dryer, balcony, comfortable bed, TV and free wifi). The staff is very kind, polite and nice. They gave me all the information I needed. This hotel is very good value for the price paid. I will definitely come back next year!! The photos are of the view from the balcony

  Strongly recommended. Thanks to John and Chris, two splendid people, thanks to their suggestions it was even easier and more beautiful to fully enjoy the island. Very beautiful water, unique colors. Excellent food and hospitality

  The rooms are appropriate for the price with a beautiful view, and the breakfast is very good, but where this hotel stands out is in the service. We’ve probably never been treated better in a hotel. Will come again!
