A fantastic holiday in a beautiful location,very authentic Greece with very friendly and helpful staff who work incredibly hard but are always cheerful!The Greek night in the hotel is not to be missed,great food and dancing.We hired a car and saw lots of this beautiful island,thanks to all the team at the Aegeon,we are already looking into going back next year for longer!

Simply stunning!

We are leaving this glorious little place today, knowing we will definitely be coming back! Reading reviews prior to coming gave me reassurance, but seeing the place and experiencing its charm has made our family holiday simply perfect!Lovely welcome when we arrived, clean, comfortable rooms, a great array of food for breakfast and lunch, an immaculate pool, beautifully kept gardens, and such a relaxed, friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. The staff work incredibly hard and always have a smile, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. It's a 10-minute stroll into town where we enjoyed trying a different restaurant each evening, and it's truly been stunning.Recommend getting up and watching the fishermen coming in at 6am with their daily sardine catch, a lovely glimpse of local life that shouldn't be missed!Car hire from Dimitris in town was easy and very reasonably priced.We also recommend visiting Mantamados to see and buy pottery from the sixth-generation potters and visiting the monastery. It feels like you've stepped back in time and is a real privilege to experience. The drive through the hills is fascinating too, with beautiful scenery and traditional farming along the way.Agios Ermogenis is a stunning beach to visit, with crystal-clear water and a lovely little taverna.Mytilini is a must visit beautiful traditional buildings, full of charm for a capital city, and so clean.All in all, we can't fault the week we've just had. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special, we will definitely be back!Room 22 & 23!

Relaxation at last..!!

We had been searching for a more authentic Greek experience & we found it here. So friendly with genuine hospitality. Lovely quiet location with reasonable views of the estuary. Aprox 12 mins slow walk to the harbour area & a few very nice restaurants. We hired a car for three days & saw pretty much the whole island, its lovely everywhere. Enjoyed the Petra & Molivos area also. The hotel pool was really nice & plenty of sunbeds despite a few hoggers. Room dated but comfortable & good aircon. If we come back to Lesvos & Skala Kallonis, then we'll stay here again!

We’ve just come back from a wonderful holiday at this hotel. If you’re the sort of people who like hotels that are generic and could be anywhere in the world, this isn’t for you. If however you want a whole lot of character and charm, immaculately clean, with beautiful views, lovely staff, and a great Greek experience, I’d highly recommend the Aegeon.It’s in a quiet spot, but it’s an easy walk into the village where you’ll find enough restaurants to give you plenty of choice. If you decide to stay round the pool, I’d highly recommend the Greek pizza, just fab! The hotel puts on a Greek bbq night once a week, which most of the guests attended and was great fun.We hired a car and spent the day exploring the island, which is really lovely. It’s a far more authentic experience than the more commercial islands like Rhodes or Corfu.We’re definitely looking to come back again, following in the footsteps of a large number of other returning visitors. Thank you again Antonetta and all the staff of the Aegeon, we’ll see you again soon.
