  Rustic Charm and Stunning Scenery

  This is a charming, rustic hotel with absolutely stunning, breathtaking views. The location is fantastic – perched in a cascading style right by the sea, yet far from any street noise. The hotel grounds are quiet and peaceful, making it an ideal spot to unwind and relax.The hotel doesn’t have its own private beach – there’s a dirt road right next to the property. The nearest beach in Anaxos is about a 15-minute walk along a quiet road (no sidewalks, though), and Petra Beach is roughly a 20-minute walk along the coast.The pool is well-kept, with plenty of sun loungers. The staff are very friendly, and the owner deserves special mention for his dedication to ensuring guests feel comfortable and well taken care of.Overall, this place is perfect for those who don’t mind skipping luxury. It’s clean, cozy, and peaceful. Walking is a must, as both the beach and the town are a short distance away – which we actually loved. It’s not suitable for elderly guests with mobility issues or families with very young children. Personally, I would highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to return.

  1 bedroom apartment nightmare! They don’t exist!

  1 star is for the view! We booked a 1 bedroom apartment for 4. On arrival late at night we were told they were fully booked and gave us - 1 very tired damp grubby bedroom to sleep in. ( see photos snail on door) due to damp. Accommodation with a kitchen is our preferred choice of travel. In the morning a very simple breakfast was offered to us whilst the manager claimed that RCI had over booked and there were no 1 bedroom apartments in the hotel that they were studios and he would try to find us one. He did! We have stayed in many RCI ‘ tired’ properties but this one should be condemned. The radiators in all rooms have been removed and pipes cut off about 30cm above the floor. The space in à ‘studio’ does not give enough room to walk past the bed if someone is cooking/washing up. The cooker had to be repaired when we were put into the studio as it did not work. It was so cold ( first week of October) that everyone asked for extra blankets and they ran out. It is evident ( see photos) that what they have done is close off the separate bedroom, install à ‘kitchen’ and fence off half of the patio/balcony so that the space can be let to 2 separate couples! The only problem with this is that our son was joining us and the ‘studio’ did not have enough room to put a sofa. We had booked for sleeping 4 people). Having lived in Africa and experienced basic - this is the only shower I have got into and felt dirty when I came out. The only good thing was the hot water. I could continue but I believe the photos say it all. We contacted RCI and explained, they reported it to the Area manager. Needless to say we checked out and booked accommodation on the other side of the island and I washed my hair for the first time in 4 days. Put simply this property from the photos looks great but reality is quite shocking. Don’t book it - you will have wasted a valuable weeks holiday and a lot of money.

  An excellent stay

  We left Clara Resort really satisfied. Fantastic breakfast with variety of local treats that was changing frequently, perfect big relaxing pool, the room was exactly as expected (not super modern but very decent and as presented in the photos), spacious and comfortable. Dimitris and the whole stuff very friendly and very accommodating to a couple of small request we made (e.g. putting a screen in the balcony window). The onlynegative that has nothing to do with the resort (which is in the norht) is that when the weather is windy with north direction, you generally need to drive to the south beaches of the island. While the north waters are quite cold 🥶
