A fabulous family run hotel in a superb location. We ended up with a room at the top of the hill with stunning views of the mountains to one side and the sea the other. Each evening, we sat on our balcony mesmerised by the spectacular sunsets. Yes, it is a hike up the hill, but oh, so worth it just for the views alone. Please, if you do have mobility issues, then bear this in mind and don't complain. You are warned on here and in the holiday blurb. Our room was exceptionally clean, and bedding/towels changed every couple of days. Yes, there is a plastic shower curtain - no big deal - and no, there isn't a kettle in the room. Bring one if you're desperate. However, there is a hairdryer and a fridge.Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. No, there isn't a fry up - this is a Greek island, not England! The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas if needed. I did see that beach towels are offered on loan for a few euros a week if you don't bring your own. Refreshments are available at the bar, too. I actually appreciated that the pool area was quiet with no booming music which meant that you really could relax. Bliss! The beach is a five /ten minute walk from the hotel. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from 10 -15 minutes walk into the main part of Petra. For us, we enjoyed the stroll out and back again. We hired a car for a few days, which I would highly recommend as the island is really beautiful with plenty to see.All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return to this gem of a hotel.

Great hotel with amazing views

So we always do our research before we book places so based on this rarely do we have a bad holiday.Based on this if you have any walking issues then please be aware some rooms have a very steep slope up to them.We are pretty fit and requested top floor and still found it hard going!Hotel itself is super clean. Very pretty. Nice rooms cleaned every other day. Only issue for us was the shower. Very small with a shower curtain as old as me.Stuck to you with every move!Small gripe though.Swimming pool was big. Loads of sun beds with sun and shade available and NEVER an issue to get them.Pool bar served good drinks and nice lunches as well as evening food too.Nissos beach bar at the end of the drive was great and on the best part of Petra beach.15 min stroll all flat in the the heart of Petra.Perfect location to be just out the way of town. You can taxi to Molyvos, walk it in a hour or get the little Noddy train! Anaxos is a 45 min walk too.If you like traditional Greece then this is it.We will return I am sure as do so many lovely people.Thank you team Panorama

Charming family run hotel
02 Oct 2025
This is our 3rd visit to this charming family run hotel in Petra. We request a high room, yes a bit of climb but worth it for the amazing view. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Typical Greek breakfast with plenty of choice. Large pool with plenty of sunbeds around. Easy flat walk into Petra square takes about 15 minutes. Takes 50 minutes to walk to Molyvos or 10 euros in a taxi. Lots of returning guests to this hotel, and I am sure we will be back.

Not quite a 5 sorry!

First time to Lesvos and what a treat it was to stay at the Panorama. We did request a high hill room and we got it, not for the feint hearted but worked off some of the gorgeous food and drink. Hotel is impeccably clean, pool area with lots of sunbeds which could do with upgrading. Breakfast is simple but I’m sure everyone could find something, I’d suggest a larger or more efficient toaster. Food at lunch or dinner was good, their moussaka is lush. Our room was quite big, too single beds pushed together but a gap in the middle due to design. Hairdryer was old and again could do with upgrading as smelt of burning on each use. The shower, mmmm a curtain which isn’t the best and the shower head holder wasn’t adjustable so would have sprayed all over the bathroom if not hand held. No soap dish or shelves but pretty normal for Greece. We did have a slight issue with tiny ants, my tip is not to let your sheets touch the floor if you spot the little bugs. We had no food in our room other than unopened crisps but they came in by doors. Now if you can make the climb, at the top left is a small area which had the best views of the sunset, but shhhhh it’s a secret sundowner spot! Lots of returning guests which speak volumes and yes I would return as Petra is unspoilt and worth the small walk. Thank you Panorama for looking after us ☺️

A really lovely place to stay. The hotel was just perfect. The pool area was lovely, clean and lots of sunbeds. The breakfast was plentiful, and traditional. The rooms were spacious, and the air-conditioning was very efficient. We found we didn't need it to go below 21c.The staff were wonderful. The two brothers who run it are always on hand to rectify any problems and answer any questions about the area, without being imposing, and the younger members of the team were so friendly and polite. Our 2 weeks here were so relaxing. We did a combination of exploring and pool days. The pool days were made even better by the vast library in the hotel. The hotel is just a 100 metre walk from the main road.
