  Not a 5 star hotel, this hotel would be a 3 or 4 stars if it was in any other country!!

  Negative points:1-Building of this hotel is very old and rooms are old even though they are renovated.2-I saw cockroaches twice in the hotel room,IN A 5 STAR HOTEL ROOM!!3-The shower head holder was weak meaning when you put the shower head into the holder,it keeps moving.4-The water of the swimming pool was so cold it made the swimming almost impossible.5-Jacuzzi very dirty and it smells.6-Steam room door was not shutting properly.7-Power sockets in the room were faulty, imagine not getting your phone charged after a long day outside!!8-Location is in the old city, you are close to some historic places but very far from lively/modern part of Istanbul, so if you care to do something at night(Bars,lounges and clubs) this place is not for you.9-Receptionists don't understand English and it's very hard to communicate with them.Asked for water bottles and got slippers instead!!Positive:1-Lobby is nicer than rooms, gives you the impression that the hotel is new and fancy.2-House keeping does its job!!!3-Close to Topkapi,Sultanahmet and Blue mosque.4-Breakfast good and makes the whole hotel price worth the money.5-Walkable to metro station and tram.

  We stayed for a week. The room was nice and fairly clean. Maintenance could be more up to date. Lobby flowers were dead for the whole time, they could’ve been easy to remove and not leave there to smell the rotten vases. Food was avarage, breakfast was not our liking. More of a 4 star hotel than a 5. We stayed with a child but never got 3rd set of towels or water. Reception staff were nice.

  The room was very clean and there is everything you could possibly need, the service amazing and the receptionist at the hotel very kind and helpful, all the employees were very friendly all the time and even assist us at many things regarding the city, the food ( breakfast ) is the best food I have tried until now, many dishes ( variety) all delicious and fresh, amazing breakfast to start your day with. I had an amazing time indeed and I will repeat the experience again.

  The Most Ridiculous Hotel Policy I’ve Ever Experienced – Completely Guest-Unfriendly!

  I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes when I received the hotel’s confirmation message. They actually forbid guests from bringing any food or drinks from outside into their own hotel room. I’ve travelled across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and I have never encountered such a ridiculous and controlling policy.What if someone has special dietary needs, a medical condition, or simply doesn’t like the limited food options available? What if a guest has mobility issues and can’t go to the restaurant every time they’re hungry? According to this hotel, that’s your problem – you either eat what they sell or go hungry.It’s unbelievable, and totally unacceptable for a place that calls itself a “spa and hotel.” Their approach is anything but welcoming. To make matters worse, the tone of their message was cold and inflexible – not what you’d expect from a hospitality business.I cancelled my booking immediately after reading that message, and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. There are plenty of hotels in Istanbul that actually respect their guests’ comfort and freedom.

  Our stay at Dosso Dossi Hotels & Spa Downtown was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the reception team was warm and welcoming. Fortunately, my wife speaks Turkish fluently, so check-in was smooth and we had no misunderstandings.The hotel requires a $100 deposit at check-in — we weren’t aware of this beforehand, but we believe that was an issue with the booking agency, not the hotel itself.The rooms are extremely clean, elegant, and well maintained. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is luxurious and refined. The breakfast buffet is one of the most impressive I’ve ever seen — easily more than 50 varieties, and everything was fresh and delicious.The location is excellent: away from the noise of the very busy areas, yet conveniently close to public transport, especially Emniyet – Fatih station, which connects you to practically anywhere in Istanbul.When we checked out, the reception team assisted us with transportation and were incredibly helpful and kind.Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations. It’s perfect for a honeymoon or a relaxing vacation. The prices are not cheap, but the experience is absolutely worth it and truly unforgettable.
