I am writing to warn others not to stay at the Red Roof Inn in Pigeon Forge. We have not stayed there yet but we have a wedding in June and friends and family have booked their rooms all over Pigeon Forge. One of the wedding party booked at red roof inn Pigeon Forge and has since gotten sick and can not travel from her home in Ohio to Pigeon Forge in June. We called 4 months in advance originally and tried to explain the situation to the hotel as well as management who told us the room was booked as non-refundable. We explained that we understand that it was booked that way but things happen out of our control and we just need to please cancel the reservation and get a refund. They were not helpful and said your friend shouldn't have booked a non refundable room. Omg no care or concern for anyone, just about the money. They wouldn't even be out because it's still 2 months away and they can easily rebook those rooms. We contacted corporate who said each franchise is individually owned and operated so it's up to their discretion if they want to refund you or not. No help from anyone and now my friends out 753.00. Do not stay at Red roof inn they are not customer service oriented.

The exterior of this place is horribly dirty and nasty. Everywhere you look. They scammed us out of $5.00. They charge a $100 deposit upon check-in and only refunded $95.00, even though we left the room completely undamaged. TV didn't work the entire time we were there. VERY cloudy picture and doesn't get channels. Wi-fi is very spotty. We needed white noise to drown out the traffic noise, and the internet kept going off, which made it hard to sleep. We found a hair and stain on hand towel. Pull-out sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable and makes terribly loud noise each time you move. Sink is outside the bathroom which wakes everyone up during the night when you wash your hands. Bathroom door squeaky. There was police tape on one of the railings which made us very uncomfortable the night we checked in. We are assuming it is because the railing is broken? If so, why not fix it, instead of putting police tape on it? Horrendous odor in lobby. Smells like a mixture of bug spray and some other type of chemical. The property is SO run down and in need of repair and upgrading. The best thing about this place is they provide a breakfast voucher to go next door to Reagan's, which is awesome. But it does only cover pancakes and a drink. You can upgrade to the full buffet for $6.00 per person. The ice machine was broken when we got there, but they did fix it rather quickly. Other than finding the hair and stain on the hand towel, the room was fairly clean, for which we were most grateful. It is in a very convenient location, which was nice. Just a few minutes from Dollywood.

Terrible service & Room was not what I paid for

I paid $40 more dollars for a two bed suite with a balcony. When I checked in the man at the front desk was NOT FRIENDLY, They gave me a cheaper room and it WAS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR!!! They did not help me, they said there was nothing they can do. The guy even went up stairs to see if my room had a balcony after I told him there was not ! Like I was lying or something. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!! I have stayed in many hotels in pigeon forge & Gatlinburg, but this one WAS THE WORSE!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE all the way around. And the ROOMS STINK!!!! Negative 10 is what I would rate this motel. DO NOT GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME. ITS AWFUL

Update on my experience with the Red Roof Inn on Parkway! They are scammers!!!

Update on my review. I have reached out multiple times to speak to the manager or the owner. They are always conveniently not there. The only time I spoke to the owner was July 29th which was tuesday after our trip. The owner informed me to do whatever I needed to do but he will not under any circumstance return my money. I did call the health department and they went and inspected and they had 12 violations. All I wanted was my $437.94 returned. Corporate is not willing to help either. So beware it is not a good place to stay. Avoid it with all cost! Spend a little extra and stay somewhere nice!!!

Nasty room, black mold, and peeling shower tiles!

Utter disappointment!!!! My experience with them was not good at all! After driving 10hrs we only stayed 5 hours. The room was nasty. The floor had sticky spots along with the fact your feet turned black just walking on it. The tile in the shower floor was peeling up and there was black mold in the bathroom and on the ceilings. We left because we had 4 small children with us and one had open heart surgery just last year. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Spoke to the owner about a refund for the two nights we didn’t stay and he informed me he would not return our money and for me to do whatever I had to do but would not return our money! The girl when we checked out was more interested in her cellphone to even care about what was wrong. I won’t be staying there again and I will not suggest them to anyone. Stay at your own risk!!!!!
