    Shocking

    rating15 Jun 2023

I have never felt I had to write a bad review about anywhere I have stayed but here goes!Arrived late at night check in good with the guy on reception and thats were it ends!Woke early to a beautiful view of the sea proceeded to the outdoor patio area and went to the bar to ask for a black coffee and a white coffee, no black coffee only Greek coffee, that was ok with me, the bar guy didn’t have a clue and was basically damn rude! Waiting 15 minutes for the one coffee and proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for the white when I went to check he was boiling it on a small camping stove! The coffee tasted like sludge and cost €8 euros! The beach is lovely and private but the charge for 2 beds was €80 right at the back were everyone was walking back and forth, beds at the front €150, we sat on our towels instead for free! The pool is lovely and quiet the time we were there it’s a salt water pool and not very clean. There is a lovely Italian up the road but it’s not cheap! The hotel restaurant Spillia is an absolute rip off! Day 2 our toilet broke, they guy who was manning reception fixed it and left all the crap that was in the cistern all over the toilet and the sink!Day 3 the toilet broke again so my husband fixed it as he did on day 4 too! That night the aircon wouldn’t work! Reception not worried about it at all!Day 4 in the 4 days we were there (we booked for 7) our room wasn’t cleaned(we didn’t see a maid/cleaner in the time we were there) and we had no fresh towels! At this point we had a guts full and booked another hotel for the last 3 days! I’m sitting in this hotel writing this review which is clean, amazing friendly staff, room cleaned and fresh towels everyday!I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking this hotel and safe to say would never go there again even if they gave it to me free with free food in the rip off restaurant everyday!

Old hotel in decrepitude, unfriendly staff, to be avoided. On the sea and the view is fantastic. The breakfast is poor no butter , no grill toast , no juice , no staff at all . No service , it’s better to find another place.

    Could be so much better

Resort is very basic which is a shame as it is situated in a wonderful spot right on the beach with magnificent views, nice pool and amenities and with a bit of attention to detail could make it a real gem.Rooms are spacious but fitout is old. Beds are hard as rocks and very uncomfortable. There is no shower screen so the bathroom ends up saturated. We had no hot water and told reception but they didn’t seem to care and did nothing about it. There was also no wifi and if you wanted to use the aircon or watch tv then you had to go and ask reception. There was no compendium in the room to provide any information, nor was there a safe. The doors to the balcony did not lock properly so didn’t feel secure.Staff seemed nice and friendly. It’s a real shame but I’m not inclined to ever go back or recommend.

    hotel from the 80's

    rating02 Aug 2019

The Hotel has a fantastic spot at the Beach of kalafatis, but this is the only plus it has. It is old and probably not renovated for the last 30 years, room absolutely basic with old furniture, although new A/C and TV. Bathroom under water after the shower and cleaning totally basic. The breakfast had variety, but the quality very bad. Coffee machine broken amd I had to go to the bar to ask for a coffee which the friendly staff prepared. Parking quite difficult to find and traffic issues at the entrance of the Hotel. In total I believe that it is totaly overpriced.
