  5 star luxury with every fine detail being thought about. The employees cannot do enough for you and work tirelessly to ensure you come away wanting to return to be spoiled even more. This hotel is stunning from every aspect and has the most comfortable beds of any place we have stayed. Be prepared to pay top dollar for the experience but you won’t come away feeling short changed. A quick mention for Andy who works poolside who is a superstar and never forgets a name. We had 5 nights of pure bliss and will return next year. Views from this hotel are surreal.

  My favorite vacation resort we have ever stayed - myconian is trendy and fun, but also extremely easy to relax. The larger suite with the private pool is just beautiful - the location is amazing for the view, but it is quite a distance from many things on the island....although the resort has hourly shuttles that take you most places. LOVE LOVE LOVE this resort. Stefanos, Gewrgia, Anna Maria, and others make for an amazing stay. We’ll be back and part of it is the service. Stefanos made us feel like we were the only guests! Thank you for an incredible experience. We love Mykonos and the Myconian Avaton! The DJ by the pool is a great touch as well.

  Simply the greatest couples holiday I have ever been on.

  Okay, here we go. Let me share my wonderful experience of this place and address some of the negatives from someone who spent eleven nights here.I should start with my experience, but I am perplexed by some of the negative comments I have read here, so I need to address those first.At least two people have said the breakfast was poor, when in fact I was bowled over by the choice of food and drink, which never ran out on any of the mornings I had breakfast.Indeed, it closes at 10:30, and even at 10:20, they were bringing out fresh stuff. Let's examine the egg choices, which included fried, scrambled, omelette, poached, and hard-boiled. Add to this, they catered for vegetarians and even a gluten-free section, what on earth was missing to give a poor review?Someone had commented that it is not a "beachfront" hotel. Not exactly a surprise, given that it is described as being carved out of the side of a mountain in the online descriptions, and we were told that anytime we want to go to the beach, we just need to ask and they will take us at reception.I will cover more in my experience, but from what I have read, a lot of negativity is because people did not research anything to do with this place or the location. For us, it was exactly as described and more.Now, we did book the Grand Mystique Suite, as this was a special occasion, but we had the same cleaners and staff as anyone else, and they couldn't do enough for us. One negative aspect was that room service entered the room twice while the person was present. There is an electronic "Do not disturb" device on the doors, which we used, and we were not disturbed once, until it was switched off.Was the negative reviewer aware of this I wonder?It is not the easiest place to navigate if you are disabled, but that is a warning to anyone reading this, not a negative, because again, do your homework.Every member of staff we got to know by face said hello every time we saw them, and my "breakfast guy", as I called him, shook my hand each morning, and made every morning an exceptional breakfast experience.A slice of luxury is the best way to describe our room.A large rainfall shower and a monstrous-sized bath that could fit four people, both with instant hot water. Again, this was the Grand Mystique room, but even so, the outside private pool area was stunning, and we never once used the main pool and seating area, as our accommodation had everything we needed.We did have a hire car for a week, and this is a must if you want to get around and add some variety, because we were there for a while. That being said, the Avaton is part of several hotels connected to each other under the Myconian umbrella, and receptions said that any night we wanted to dine in one of the other hotels (with Varied menus), they would take us.Parking at the hotel is free and easy to find a space, so I do recommend doing that. K&K cars also delivered the car to and from the hotel, making the process painless.I never used the facility, but my partner did, and raved about how amazing her massage treatment was, so again, another tick in the box.I would like to make special mention of a couple of names, as they made the holiday so much more enjoyable; however, there was not one member of staff who could be faulted.Sadiq, our room cleaner, who had to put up with us, but we thank you for your dedication and all those little chocolates you left on our pillows every evening when you turned down the bed. It was always a wonderful treat to come home to.Ioanna (Concierge Dept), who helped arrange just the most wonderful experience for us with our private dining night, and always asked how we were and offered your assistance with anything.My final thought is to conduct thorough research on this hotel before booking, as it is primarily geared towards adults and couples seeking relaxation rather than a party atmosphere. It has a great music selection in the evening at the restaurant/bar, which helps create an atmosphere, but don't expect cabaret singers and magicians.I will let my pictures speak for themselves. To the person who didn't like the hotel's Pizza, I have included a photo of mine, which was one of many I ate, as it was divine.

  Wonderful service and the hotel is beautifully designed. Beach loungers were the most comfortable loungers we have ever experienced.

  Another Year, another stay at the Myconian

  We love to come back to the Elia beach location every Year and always enjoyed staying the Mycoanian. As we got one of the new large suites on the top, we can not complain this Year at all. Great breakfast, good food in the restaurant and it is really nice to stay at least one day by the pool here. Even though you little out of Mykonos town, it is good to use the fee shuttle bus. The hotel has many different room types can categories, so you really need to know what you are booking for.
