  Amazing stay

  From the first night we arrived at the resort, we were amazed by how beautiful and elegant everything was. The resort itself is stunning, with an incredible atmosphere that immediately made us feel relaxed and welcome.Our evening at the Symposium Restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. From the moment we entered, Orla, Dina, and Katerina at the reception welcomed us with such warmth and kindness, making the whole experience feel even more special.Aimilos provided exceptional service throughout the evening. He was extremely professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. Because of my allergy, he carefully recommended the best dishes for me and made sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail and genuine care made us feel completely comfortable. Truly 10/10 service.The food was outstanding — from the crab salad to the lamb chops, every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Everything about the evening exceeded our expectations. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend both the resort and the Symposium Restaurant.

  Overall, we had a great stay at Saint John Hotel Villas & Spa in Mykonos. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and private while still being close enough to Old Town to enjoy everything there. It was nice being able to escape the crowds and come back to a quiet atmosphere.The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. One thing I really appreciated was their transportation service to and from the port and airport. The shared transportation option was around €10 per person, which is very reasonable for Mykonos. They were punctual, organized, and very helpful with our suitcases, making arrivals and departures much smoother.The breakfast was also one of the highlights. There was a large variety of fresh options, and the breakfast hours from 8 AM to 11 AM were very convenient.I wouldn’t necessarily give the hotel a full five stars because of a few inconveniences. Our room key fob never worked properly, so we had to use a regular key the entire stay. Transportation back from Old Town at night can also be difficult since the hotel shuttle was not operating during our stay. We were quoted €60 by the hotel for private transportation for a one way, while local taxis were around €30.Despite that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would still recommend the hotel for its relaxing atmosphere, views, location, and friendly staff.

  St. John Hotel—it’s a 5-star facade that fails to deliver.

  I returned to St. John Hotel in Mykonos in July 2025 for a second stay, expecting the exceptional service of my first visit. Instead, I encountered a shocking decline in quality, making this so-called 5-star hotel a complete disappointment. I strongly advise against staying here.The staff’s attitude fell far short of 5-star standards. A sales and PR manager was outright rude, lacking basic communication skills and blaming guests for issues instead of resolving them. Housekeeping was neglectful—dirty dishes, not even ours, were left outside our room for over 24 hours despite repeated complaints. I have photos to prove this unacceptable oversight.Most disturbing was the disregard for privacy. On two occasions, staff entered our room without permission. First, two employees opened the door and left without explanation. On checkout day, a staff member checking the minibar barged in, ignoring the clear “Do Not Disturb” sign, and left without apologizing. As a female guest, I felt deeply uncomfortable in my own expensive room. Imagine the embarrassment if I had been in a private moment, like stepping out of the shower.Additionally, some staff spoke only Greek, with limited English proficiency, making communication difficult for international guests. This is inexcusable for a luxury hotel catering to global travelers. When I requested to speak with the general manager, I was told he was busy and would call, but no follow-up occurred. Staff hesitated to provide their names, suggesting awareness of their unprofessional conduct.My first stay at St. John was exceptional, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. Mykonos offers countless luxury hotels with professional staff who respect guests’ privacy and deliver true hospitality. Save your money and avoid St. John Hotel—it’s a 5-star facade that fails to deliver.   Wow wow wow! The wonderful owners of this hotel and Anax next door and Aeonics just down the road get how to make their guest feel special and important. The welcome was exceptional every last detail is taken care of, beauful luxurious rooms with everything included….. comfortable beds, linen & to die for big TVs wonderful quick and delicious food served to your room by lovely staff. Then the food in the restaurants and choice at breakfast combined with all the smiley happy engaged staff….. this is really a very special group of hotels. I could not recommend them more to you. We had a couple of small issues whilst we were there but they sorted them immediately and even upgraded our room FOC ❤️🥂🎉!!! Free shuttle buses to the airport and Mykonos town every day. This was all done towards the end of a long and busy summer for them so the fact that they were still charming engaging and dedicated to our happiness was so impressive!   Beautiful Setting, But Service Fell Far Below Expectations

  We recently stayed at Saint John and while the hotel looks luxurious and is in a beautiful location, our overall experience was slightly disappointing due to consistent service issues and a lack of attention to detail.We stayed in Room 3106 — the terrace had a lovely view but no shade after 1pm. We requested an umbrella four times over 48 hours, but reception simply told us none were available and didn’t follow up with housekeeping. They also refused to let us speak to a supervisor or manager, which was frustrating.The concierge was underwhelming — lacking both personality and knowledge of local activities. We asked for ideas for a day trip and were given nothing helpful.At the ocean-facing pool bar, we were refused food service at 6:45pm, even though closing time is 8pm. No offer of drinks was made either, and service here generally felt uninterested.Room service options were very limited but the food was really good. The free shuttle to town only operates in the evening with limited seating, which means you have to get your name on the list to book a space early morning on the day of travel.Housekeeping was another ongoing issue:They called us for permission to enter, instead of just cleaning the room.They only arrived around 4pm, which was inconvenient.Floors weren’t cleaned properly, and the pool wasn’t skimmed daily.Even with the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on, they would call the room insisting they enter. Staff would ring doorbell once and barge into room with no time to get decent if necessary — so privacy was a real concern.Other disappointments:There was a shisha menu on display, but none of the staff seemed aware of it. A manager later confirmed it was not available, which was misleading.Noise at night from guests on golf carts was disruptive and went unchecked.On the positive side:Breakfast was generous with a good selection.The beach area is quiet, peaceful, and very beautiful. Food and drink service at the beach was great.In summary, Saint John has great potential — the property is stunning and location is fantastic — but the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and service failures made this a disappointing stay. It does not currently deliver the level of service you'd expect from a luxury hotel, especially at this price point.
