  Stunning property - wonderful reception staff

  We love a boutique hotel and this one did not disappoint, with only 7 rooms, it was perfect. We chose the maisonette which has a lounge downstairs and bedroom upstairs with a balcony. The room was beautiful, with the most incredible view from the upstairs balcony out to sea and across to Naxos town and the Naxos gate of Apollo. It is perfect for the most spectacular sunset. Our room was kept wonderfully clean and the bed was so comfortable with great pillows, we slept so well. The hotel provides breakfast which is a small buffet style and you can also order extras like pancakes, omelettes, scrambled eggs etc from the kitchen. You can also if you want take your breakfast back to your room. The pool area is stunning with beds in the pool and an infinity style pool, it’s not large, more of a plunge pool but we loved it and the views from it. What also makes this place special is the reception staff Demetrius and Rita, who were so friendly,helpful and could not do enough for us. They sorted car hire and answered numerous questions,but also were around for a lovely chat, it made us feel right at home. Since returning from our holiday our friends have inundated us with requests for details of the hotel as they thought it was so lovely and we agree a absolute beautiful property with 2 wonderful reception staff, we could not recommend it enough.

  A Fabulous Hotel in Naxos

  Review of Iliada Sunset Suites, NaxosWe were lucky enough to have a four-night stay at the stunning Iliada Sunset Suites in Naxos, back in mid-October.I booked directly through their website, and the entire process was easy and seamless. Any questions that I had were emailed and answered promptly, which is always a good start.The hotel arranged transportation from the airport for us and that too worked to perfection. The driver was waiting as the airport and messaged me on What’s App, so we knew exactly what to do.The hotel was stunning, and we were extremely pleased with the suite that we had chosen, a Seaview Suite with Jacuzzi. There was a large sleeping area, a separate sitting area, a kitchenette, an excellent bathroom and even a utility area that we used to handwash our clothes.The views were just incredible, from our terrace with a table and chairs and a private jacuzzi, we could look over the pool, the ocean and the famous Portara for which Naxos is known. Sunsets were wonderful.It was around a five minute walk into Naxos town, during the day we climbed up and down the rocky slope but after dark we used the road, which was a minute or two longer.There were plenty of restaurants at that end of town, and once we caught a very reasonably priced taxi to one at the other end of town. There was also a supermarket a few minutes away where we were able to buy wine, snacks and other things that we needed.Breakfast was included and was one of the best we had in Greece. The Continental part was a buffet, and then you could order a hot dish which is our preferred way of having breakfast in hotels. You had the option of eating in the dining room, or in your own room or on your terrace.With such stunning views, naturally we ate on our terrace. We would go and select our cereal, yoghurt and juice and order our main dish. The hot dish was then bought to us, always with perfect timing.I highly recommend Iliada Sunset Suites and if we are ever lucky enough to return to Naxos we would certainly stay there again.

  100/10 stay!

  We just returned home from the most AMAZING 7 night stay at Iliada suites. We stayed in a junior suite. Everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel is very modern with typical greek architecture. Clean, quiet and 5 mins walk from lots of bars and restaurants. Views from the hotel are absolutely phenomenal, definitely the best on the island. Breakfast was delicious, we had it brought to our terrace which was an added bonus. There’s also lots of local cats and they are the sweetest! We ended up giving them all names and they would come and greet us every morning. Overall, this hotel is extraordinary. We loved that it was a bit out of town so you really got some peace and quiet. Lastly, the plunge pool was amazing to jump into after a long day of exploring.100/10!!

  Lied about AC, refused to refund $2,800 and offered us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience

  Do not book this place!!!!! They lied about having AC and then refused to refund us $2,800 when we found out that there was no AC! Room was dirty and poorly maintained. Floors were filthy. Booked this place for our honeymoon via Expedia. We knew that the Greek islands are hot during the summer, so we booked because the listing said there was AC. We arrived two weeks ago for our 5 night stay, turned on the AC and went out to dinner. We came back 3 hours later at 8pm and the room was still stiflingly hot. The “AC” wasn’t working. When we talked to front desk, she said that HVAC is closed for the evening and she will try to find someone the next day. It was 30C full sun every day in Naxos, the room was very hot and stuffy and there was no way we were staying if we were promised AC and it didn’t work. We communicated this and she said that someone could suddenly come in 45 mins to an hour. The HVAC guy arrived and told us that the vents were incredibly dirty which affected airflow, but more importantly, the hotel cheaped out and did not actually purchase AC units. The units at the property are what he calls “clima”, which I assume means climate control, but he stated that this is not AC and that we should not expect the room to cool. The owner came by with a bottle of wine to apologize for the inconvenience, as if it would make up for no AC when the listing clearly stated AC. We booked another hotel immediately and left at 10pm after verifying with their HVAC guy that no fix was available. There’s no way we were going to stay in that extremely hot room with no AC for 6 days.We thought that because it was clearly a bait and switch on their part and they were fully booked so they couldn’t put us in another room with actual AC, that we’d get a refund. However, Expedia has asked the owners multiple times and the owners have refused and said that the reservation is non-refundable. This is absurd as the lie about AC should’ve invalidated this “contract”. The owners took $2,800 from us.

  Hotel in a stunning location, a great view down into the port of Naxos and across to Apollos Gate way. A great spot to sip a beer and watch the sun go down.Rooms were clean and spacious, serviced every day.The pool was also a great spot to sit and watch the world go by.Staff were also really nice and helpful, breakfast each morning was a great selection.
