    Great but Lacking...

    rating21 Sept 2025

Great choice but lacking a few things... The location was great, the room was great and clean and the view was beautiful . What was missing was the breakfast they no longer offer (we didn't know til we were there) and staff! It is self check-in and out with a key box and there is a maintenance person who is around. There is no one to ask for dinner suggestions, directions or the spa treatments they mention (didn't see a place for that either). There was a bar by the pool but it was either closed or no one was there. If you want a nice place without staff or continental breakfast this is it. 7 min walk down the hill to the beach where you can rent 2 chairs/umbrella for around $25 a day. There is a small grocery store about 4 min away (where we bought our breakfast foods). The family restaurant across the street was great. The hotel next door has a nice concierge where you can buy bus tickets to port and they have an actual spa as well. Bus stop to the port and old town is across the street on the corner (going up the hill). Also you can get bus tickets at port to get to the hotel, don't waist the $40 for a cab/uber

    Disgraceful and dishonest.

    rating30 Jul 2025

We booked our annual family holiday for 7 nights what was advertised on booking.com as a 2bedroom Deluxe Family Suite (see attached screenshot clearly showing Bedroom1 and Bedroom2), so when we arrived and were shown a room with only 1 bedroom with en-suite bathroom we said that we must have been shown the wrong room. We were invited to ring the hotel owner who literally shouted down the phone at us for 10 minutes that we had not read the details correctly, we were in the wrong, the beds in the living room meant that it was a 2 bedroom etc etc. We were pretty shocked by the whole experience but as there was no-one else there (apart from poor Christian the maintenance guy) we went out and tried to have a good day. The next morning there was a 'manager' on site, we spoke to her, she said that it was OUR interpretation that it only had one bedroom and that the beds in the living room - because they were not sofa beds - meant that it was 2 bedrooms. She said they could do nothing else for us. We asked to check out as we had found online another apartment with 2 bedrooms down the road, she said we could check out but there would be no refund for the remaining nights. She then told me (whilst swearing blind that the Living Room was a Bedroom) that they had changed the description of the apartment on booking.com to a 1 bedroom with Living Room - which is what it should have been in the first place!!She then called the owner who came over to the apartment, again he said very angrily this was our fault and that I needed to 'recognise my responsibilities'! When we asked to check out with a refund for the nights we had left - he asked if we were joking and walked out. He then sent me an abusive text message saying that we had been disruptive and he would take legal action and get the local authorities involved against me if I said anything else. It was quite scary. We had no choice but to stay in the 1 BEDROOM apartment with our 2 teenage daughters for the rest of the holiday. The apartment was described as a Deluxe Family Suite, in reality it was an average 1 bedroom apartment. The bathroom was pretty grim, see photos, the fridge was a tiny hotel room style fridge so there was no means of having a iced cold drink around the pool - even if you did have more than two glasses or cups - which we didn't even though there were four of us. When I asked about this I was told to get a drink from the hotel next door!!There was nobody on site in the week we were there, other than the times I have described above, although we were actually quite glad about this as we felt threatened and intimidated.Although in the beginning the owner said he would pay for a meal for us, we never heard anything else about this, and we paid around £500 more than we should have done for a comparable 1 bedroom apartment. This is not a hotel, it is simply a room with access to a pool. Whilst the pool is kept clean, there isn't any space around it and the sunbeds are cheap ones which are fixed and do not adjust in anyway so they are so uncomfortable anyone round the pool only stayed for around half an hour.Travelling with 2 teenage daughters and all their paraphernalia it was really important to us that we had 2 bedrooms but as it was we made do for the week we had absolutely no choice, and when I emailed booking.com they just emailed the complaint straight to the hotel who said they did not recognise the complaint.I have NEVER experienced such downright dishonesty and unpleasantness whilst travelling. When I was looking through the reviews I found another one where the owner has previous of yelling at his guests if they have a complaint.Take my advice and stay elsewhere, Agios Prokopious is a gorgeous place to holiday and we actually had a great time having lovely food and enjoying the surrounding area and beaches. NB I also have a live complaint with booking.com about this as it is false advertising.

Superb complex everything was wonderful 🩷

    rating26 Aug 2024

On check in we were given EROS suite.Upstairs one massive suite with everything you could possibly need.Spotlessly clean.Welcome gift on arrival.Wonderful comfortable king size bed with balcony overlooking the swimming pool and sea views dressing area with hairdryer.Tv with loads of channels, fridge with bottled water tea and coffee making facilities and two more beds. Safe was free and the air-con worked very well.Doors lead out to a great big terrace overlooking the beautiful countryside (wow the view was fabulous) and outside jacuzzi and views over the pool again. It was absolutely stunning.Bathroom in the suite was excellent (had been refurbished) rainfall shower fluffy towels and really nice toiletries provided.Breakfast is served to your table around 9 ish on the bar terrace, was fairly simple but was fine.We only stayed for 2 nights as we were island hopping in the Cyclades it wasn’t long enough stay really, so I must say we will definitely return to the Mitos Suites and Naxos. The area outside :- 10 minute walk and you was on the fabulous beach with soft sand and gently shelving into crystal clear water the road you walk down to get there has many shops, supermarkets and restaurants also the strip along the beach has loads of bars and restaurants.Make sure you watch the sunset on the beach, it’s magical. The thing we did love (might of just been good timing) but we found because the complex is so small all the other guests went out for the day, which was brilliant because that left my husband and myself with a beautiful pool all to ourselves for 2 days!!!! It was like having our own private villa, we just relaxed sunbathed, swam and got drinks from the bar!!!!! Absolutely wonderful 👙🌞 ΜΙΧΑΗΛ ΜΑΣΤΡΟΓΙΑΝΝΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ, Owner at Mitos Suites, responded to this review Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a memorable stay in the Eros suite and enjoyed all the amenities, the stunning views, and the tranquility of the pool. It’s fantastic that you found the room comfortable and well-equipped, and we’re glad the welcoming touches made you feel at home. We’re also happy to hear you loved the location, with the beach, shops, and restaurants just a short walk away, and we completely agree—the sunset on the beach is magical! We would be delighted to welcome you back whenever your travels bring you to Naxos again. It sounds like you had the perfect relaxation experience, and we can’t wait to host you for a longer stay next time! 🌞🌴
