Great stay at Naxos for a serene experience!

    rating23 May 2026

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Our stay at Naxian Utopia Villas was honestly one of the best parts of our Naxos trip. The views are absolutely peaceful and serene. It felt super peaceful and relaxing, away from the busy tourist spots but still close enough to explore everything. The villas are beautiful too — really stylish, spacious, spotless, and clearly designed with a lot of care. Every morning we woke up to the fresh sea breeze and sunshine over the hills, which was such a nice way to start the day. We also spent so much time by the private pool and terrace just relaxing after being out around the island. What really made the stay special though was the hospitality. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, always happy to help or give recommendations. It felt much more personal than staying at a typical hotel. Shoutout to Anna and Joanna who went the extra mile to make the stay exceptional! If you’re visiting Naxos and want somewhere peaceful, romantic, and a little bit special, Naxian Utopia Villas is definitely worth it. We already miss it and would return in a heartbeat.Best part? The breakfast every single day - home made by local ladies with so much heart, passion and techniques! The home made pies, quiches and cakes are a must!

Nice enough hotel but really lousy location

    rating15 Oct 2025

Unless you have a car, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the small beachfront town, which is the closest civilization. The walk is quite perilous during the daytime with no sidewalks or shoulder and speeding cars, trucks & buses. A 3 minute taxi ride to the beach town is 20 Euros each way. So $40 Euros just to get to & from the small town. The hotel abuts a water park which thankfully was closed for the season. But when it’s operational during the summer, I can’t imagine the noise from the traffic (dirt roads) and kids. Why would you choose to stay inland, looking at dirt and rocks, when you’re visiting an island? There are plenty of nice hotels near the water and in Naxos City. On the plus side, our spacious suite was nicely appointed and very clean and modern with a beachy vibe. (The private pool with our suite was a nice size, but not very private since the main pool was right above and people could and did look down to check us out and say Hi.) The staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was good, with a really great coffee machine.

    Quiet, tucked away luxury hotel

    rating13 Oct 2025

Pros: 1. LARGE, spacious room - more like a small apartment. But, oddly enough, no drawers or closets for clothes, so we left our open suitcases on the 2 living room couches, not a big deal, but weird with all that space to not have drawers.2. Beautiful private, quiet, outdoor area with lounge chairs, large pool and gazebo - oh yeah, and STUNNING mountain views!3. Breakfast - WOW - so much food, homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious! 4. Very quiet, secluded area - away from crowds, noise, etc. 5. Lovely staff Cons:1. SOOO far (walking-wise) from beaches/restaurants, stores, etc. Whoever says it is "walking distance" from the beaches is crazy! I am a hiker/walker and would not walk the dirt paved, DARK, winding road to the beaches daily, which BTW is easily 15-20 mins walk in the heat! Note: Rent a car like we did (it's very cheap - $180 for 4 days @ NaxosWay) and you can jet around this island and see so much more at your leisure and the hotel has a parking lot too). 2. Area needs some 'cleaning up" to really be/look like a luxury hotel - entrance to hotel is not attractive - dirt entryway with really no loading area, houses surrounding the hotel are an eyesore. Area just doesn't scream "luxury" based by it's surroundings and landscape. All in all -this was a beautiful, luxury, spacious hotel and if you want a quiet place at the end of the day to unwind, this is the one!

    read the reviews.

    rating11 Jun 2025

I was looking at some of the older reviews and have to say, this one from Oct '23 was spot on for our visit last week (TA translation from French). We prob should have read if before we went:"Very nice villa but nothing to store your clothes except hangers...you open your suitcase in the living room... Noisy atmosphere, you can hear the neighbors very (too) well... Inside, the fridge also makes noise, the cupboard is lit, even at night, the curtains are not sufficiently blackouts, the bed did not have a box spring, in short difficult nights, waking up very early.... the swimming pool is too cold to be used. And I forget the soap and the towel that we don't know where to put in the tiny bathroom. On the other hand, the breakfast and the lady who takes care of it are top notch!"so, PROS: large space with private pool that will likely warm up nicely from the end of June but too cold to use during first week of June '25. Free wi-fi, free parking, pleasant staff, great breakfast. Shower with VERY hot water right away, just limited bathroom/shower space for toiletries. Ours was a 2-floor unit, which was nice for separate bedrooms. Large couch in LR but was used purely as a shelf for all our luggage since no drawers/very limited in-BR shelving so we didn't use the LR for group relaxation. There's a stove but didn't use it. CONS: 15 min walk on a death-defying road that thinks itself a highway to get to closest town with pretty average-at-best food choices (not the main town). We were encouraged to walk to town but I would not recommend it especially with kids. Windy, dark and local drivers are practicing for the Indy 500. Signage is poor - there's a sign on the road but when you go down the end of it, there are several buildings and no sign to say which to go to although the one that says Warning! Dog! with a pic of a Rottweiler is to be believed and, thankfully, not the right one. You'll see/hear them when you go for your car. Thankfully, they are behind a whole lot of fence bc they seem to come from the Damian movie, and I like dogs so that's saying a lot. Biggest negative is no shelves/drawers/dressers for a place that most will prb use for a longer stay (since it's got an oven).

Great Hotel in the Stelida Area outside of Naxos

    rating06 Jun 2025

We had a large spa suite with a private pool with an upper covered deck, combination shower/sauna, tub, kitchen and living room. The suite was very comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Note that this hotel is 15 minutes outside of Naxos Old Town, so each time we needed to go into town we had to pay 20 Euros for a taxi each way. There was one great restaurant walking distance which allowed us to eat near the hotel for two nights.
