Imagine a long flight to Naxos and then being greeted coldly at check in to the Plaza Beach Hotel. The beds were hard like rocks (seriously) and no blankets given (only a sheet) especially when the temperature drops at night. The rooms very basic. The pool temperature was freezing cold, nobody swam in it. It also had an ugly fence around it that detracted from the beach and pool views and the pool lounges were on the grass outside of the pool area. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the very same each day. With no car, your choices to eat out was either at their bar/restaurant or a long walk down the road to one other, or take the long bus ride cramped with passengers. If you needed concierge help, like information on activities on Naxos you were told to use the internet so you are on your own. We thought Marie Elena at the front desk was just having a bad day, but she was rude and condescending throughout our stay.There are many wonderful places to stay on Plaka Beach, but sadly the Plaka Beach Hotel is not one of them. Honestly submitted.

Beautiful hotel on Plaka Beach, Naxos. The rooms were well appointed, and clean. My only complaint is the bed was hard, I was not told until check out you could ask for an additional "soft" mattress. The location and amnesties were relaxing, the pool, pool bar directly on the fabulous sandy Plaka beach was absolutely perfect. we enjoyed lounging on the grounds by pool while gazing at the beach and sea. Plaka Beach is a great beach for walking. Highly recommend hotel and don't forget to mention the hard bed and ask for the "soft' mattress to be added.

Beautiful hotel and bar area, but food was just ok. Hamburgers didnt taste good at all. The seating area by the pool was nice.

We had a wonderful stay at Plaza Beach Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everyone was very service-minded throughout our visit. The hotel has great facilities and is located right next to a beautiful, shallow beach – perfect for swimming and relaxing. The sunbeds came with a small fee, but that was only if you wanted an umbrella, which is fair, especially during high season.We didn’t use the sauna or gym, as we preferred to swim in the lovely pool for our exercise. The water was pleasantly warm during our stay.Originally, we planned to stay for 5 days, but after visiting another hotel on a different island, we decided to come back and extended our stay by another 7 days. The hotel staff were very kind and quickly arranged a new room for us.There’s a good bus connection from the hotel – every 30 minutes with a stop right outside the entrance. This hotel is ideal for families with children and couples looking for a peaceful atmosphere, with easy access to authentic Greek life nearby.

Plaza Beach Hotel was very quaint. It was located at an excellent part of the beach with easy access to beach beds and umbrellas (for an extra cost however if you ask at the front desk they will provide an umbrella for your stay which we weren't aware of until check out). It is also very easy to walk to nearby restaurants. The pool and pool bar were really nice. Our view from our room and balcony was incredible. The free breakfast was nice and having the market on site was an added bonus. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had two rooms and one of them had a strong odor that never went away. The mattresses are extremely hard and there are no blankets unless requested. You only get a sheet. It appears they are working to update and remodel the facilities but they are still a bit dated.
