Good location , relaxing place to stay

Visited this during island tour . It was a great base to stay , centrally located near to the port , beach and bars , restaurants. Welcoming staff and relaxing gardens and location . We had a room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel . This overlooked the church and the rear pedestrian path into the town .

The soul of authentic Greek island life - beauty, quiet, warmth, generosity, and kindness abounds here!

Sylvia, Michael, Monda, Maria - just wonderful, kind, generous owners and staff. Gorgeous courtyard will beautiful trees, flowers, and potted herbs; a lovely variety of seating and a little lending library of books. Delicious coffee and breakfast buffet. Ideal location, a very short walk to shops, restaurants, the harbor, and the famous church of 100 doors (Ekatatontapiliani). This is one of the few remaining hotels that offers a stay with traditional Greek soul. I will be returning as often as I can!

Could be so Much Better if Refurbished

Lovely central location with garden is a plus. Room and furniture are dated, weathered, and somewhat dingy. The kitchenette wasn't of much use since it was impossible to actually cook. Staff were friendly and helpful.

breakfast under trees with the sound of cicadas

    rating24 Sept 2021

This accomodation is in fact built a bit like a Cycladic village - with its whitewashed studios by a courtyard and garden with trees, where breakfast is taken. There is a description given by the hotel on how to reach this place in old Parikia not far from the Ekatontapyliani church. It is in walking distance from the port. Reception was friendly and check-in was easy. Besides a big bottle of water also a bottle of wine was offered as a welcome. Our room was just opposite reception, thus a bit more exposed to passersby, also by the side window from people going to their studio. Privacy was not the strong point here. The studio itself was aesthetically pleasing with its slate floor and the marble in the bathroom. There was a small kitchen, which we didn't use. Probably due to corona there was no room service. The bed was comfortable and there was enough storage place. The bathroom had old fashioned plumbing and toilet paper had to go into a bucket, as in the old days.Breakfast only starts at 8.30am, which is a bit late, if one wants to go on a hiking excursion. From a buffet counter one could help oneself to three kind of seasonal fruit (watermelon, grape and fresh figs, when we were there). It also had yoghurt, fried eggs, bacon and two types of cheese. There was a good coffee from a machine available. Especially nice it was to sit under trees and to listen to the cicadas.

    We loved it

    rating28 Jun 2021

We want to say thanks to Dimitri, Silvia, Elias for their kindness. All of them helped, in different ways and according to their roles, to enjoy our stay in Parikia. A special thank to Maria and the other madam that served us breakfast: always smiling and ready to satisfy any request. We love you!Our room was facing the beautiful garden. The room was clean, quiet and well furnished. The location of the hotel is good: near the parking, near the port, near the city center. We fully enjoyed our stay there.
