  Peaceful and Relaxing

  Located at about 50 metres from a sandy beach, Polos Hotel is ideal for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We had a superior room with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool . The room was spacious and very comfortable and cleanliness was immaculate. Breakfast was very satisfactory consisting of bread , croissants , spinach pie, sweets, fruit, cereals and a variety of jams, cheeses and ham, to mention only a few. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the town centre and very close to many bars and restaurants. All the staff were very polite and helpful. We would like to thank the manager and Alexandros at the pool area who attended to our every need. I strongly recommend Polos Hotel if you wish to have a memorable holiday.   Four nights at the Polos

  We had four nights at the Polos hotel, enjoyed our stay. Location good, fifteen minutes walk to the port. Pool good, breakfast a little poor but adequate. Towels changed daily. Shower good. The view from the balcony of our room was not great, overlooking a square of concrete.Overall, the hotel is tired and could do with a complete revamp but for four nights it was sufficient.   Charming, ideally located hotel with exceptional staff and customer care.

  I arrived for my 2 week stay to a warm welcome from Aristea, the general manager, who helped me with my luggage and personally showed me my room, which was a clean and pleasant ‘classic’ room with a balcony overlooking the nearby area.Throughout my 2 week stay, Aristea enquired as to my well/being every day, taking time out from whatever she was doing to check that all was ok with my holiday, and offer help and advice regarding places of interest to visit, travel information, bus timetables and recommended good quality restaurants.Her management and customer service was exceptional, demonstrating warmth, professionalism and a genuine customer care I have not experienced at this level on any of my travels. She would be involved in everything from meeting and greeting, pool maintenance, overseeing the pool bar, cleaning and clearing breakfast tables, liaising with staff and did so with such a love for her job you would think she was a part of the family that owns the hotel.The hotel is old, but is a clean and pleasant environment, the pool area a lovely and central part of the hotel.Alex who ran the little bar was also a fantastic member of staff, who took time to chat with residents, alongside his bar and breakfast duties,also with warmth and professionalism.Breakfast could be eaten inside or outside on the lovely terrace, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty continental breakfast options which were regularly replenished.The hotel is in an excellent location to explore the island and nearby area with a short walk to the port, bus station and beautiful town centre.The beach, restaurants, bars and a variety of shops are on the doorstep.I had a wonderful two week stay at this hotel and would like to thank the staff that made this such a pleasant experience.A lovely hotel.   Do not book comfort room.

  Unfortunately when we arrived we were put in one of their “comfort rooms”. Do not book one of these rooms. You must book standard or classic. The comfort rooms are below floor level, basically basement, and are awful! Dark, basically cardboard for mattresses, dirty and just horrid. We found a pair of boxers in the corner of the room that were not ours so clearly not cleaned properly!! 2 out of 3 staff members were rude when we complained that we were in the wrong room and refused to move us . One lovely lady eventually found the room we had actually booked and moved us after the first night. She was super helpful but the other 2 were not. Breakfast was poor, we didn’t eat breakfast there once. Pool area good and location of the hotel very good, just be careful which room you book and don’t expect anything special. Thank you to the lady who helped us whilst we were there.   Perfect for a lovely relaxing stay. Great location , the breakfast was ok. Room was nice and clean and staff were friendly. The season just was just starting out so not all fully open but we didnt mind as it made it nice and peaceful. Would definitely visit again.
