We returned in September for the 7th time in 8 years, welcomed back by the staff with genuine open arms. The resort has changed subtly over the years, the biggest change being a building project of some extra 20 rooms over the last couple of years. Although this puts some pressure on the original facilities, those being really excellent, it did not impact negatively on our holiday. We return each year because we love the unique nature, in our experience, of this boutique hotel. The setting is exceptional, on a hillside with panoramic views across the Messinian Bay, which is the quietest body of open water imaginable. That quiet extends to the whole region, it is simple, unspoilt, low rise and low density, hence facilities locally are fewer than some might be used to, but we go back for that very unspoilt beauty, tranquility and serenity.The hotel is beautifully designed and the infinity pool with the incredible view, is the central jewel in the crown. The staff are always willing and helpful, especially the reception who provide a great concierge service.If your remit is quiet, simple elegance and good service (if sometimes unhurried), a sense of going back in time and no expectations of highly paced modern living, then you cannot go wrong.Thank you Camvillia, we'll be back

Another wonderful stay at Camvillia. We were welcomed back like old friends by the superb team who looked after us once again. Superb room with a breathtaking views which meant we had the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful region and discover some new restaurants. A huge thanks to the team and we look forward to seeing you again in 2027 ??

Mmmm a bit remote

A bit disappointed with the hotel I know it’s late in the season but it seems they are winding down and some of the menus are not available and aHB has to pay an extra supplement over BB???.OK it’s a long season but the guests pay for a service not an argument.Some of the staff are brilliant but other are difficult to deal with.Rooms are on a steep slop and some distance but there is a buggy service.

We have returned from a week at Camvillia and yet again it didnt disappoint.We went with our 5 year old daughter and she had the best time. The staff are awesome, really welcoming and friendly.We had a private suite with a pool and omg it was unreal spacious, clean and everything we wanted.We were half board and all the food we had was fine, they didnt have a childrens menu which in previous years they did have but they were very accommodating and served our daughter smaller portions and no sauce. We did go over to the little restaurant in the church area one evening and had a lovely traditional greek meal.We also went to a fish restaurant in a taxi (5 mins) called Atki which was lovely, they also have a beach bar there which was a little bit buzzy.The hotel used to have its own private bit of beach but they don't anymore so you have to pay for the sunbeds and brollies so make sure you take some form of payment with you to the beach. The new area they drop you has a brilliant beach bar serving drinks, food, ice creams and the young brother and sister running it are brilliant bringing anything to your loungers.All in all we had another fantastic holiday and if you are thinking of booking then do it!.
